Most of these were etched pretty deep. A couple of them got scrapped as the acid bleed through the resist too much but I like a lot, has an almost molten look to it!

I love the deep etch, I'll have to marvel at the notion of those that went too far.. my mind conjures a craggy lunar sponge-scape, internal LED and let the light leak free. A friend remarked "T2 vibes".

I will take T2 vibes! I think there were 3 enclosures I burned a little too much. One was almost passable but some of the acid ate through some of the areas of the toner because the print wasn't a rich deep black as my new printer all of the sudden has started to print lighter even with the pricey new toner cartridge. It's very annoying, last week I wasted a bunch of paper double printing, super hard to line that shit up just right! It's like a challenge for me to get the etch deep and not eat into the toner much if at all. But 3 out of 28 ain't too bad.

I have been having a little more difficulty with that part of the etching process lately, printer ain't giving me the deep rich blacks, even after cleaning the rollers and I think the paper I am using changed up their formula as before I could iron the transfer on and it would peel right off perfectly. Now I have to iron longer to get the transfer just right and then have to soak them in water, get most of the paper off, and then use a needle to get the leftover paper remnants out. That last part is actually kind of relaxing to do. Think I spent an hour needling away on 4 boxes last night and it was nice not looking at a screen, kinda like doing everyone's dishes at the end of the day...

Was trying to whip up a few more of these before the holiday but probably won't be able to get them finished before the new year. I've etched 5 of these and a few Foxx Tone Machines so will have those available in early January. Holding 1 of the Sinews but the other 4 will be up for grabs if anyone is interested. I am going for a more yucked out dirty look with a matte finish on these so they won't be shiny like the first batch.

The 2023 GRIME is here. 10 more Sinews up for grabs. All of them except one are aluminum blackened on the top and clear coated with a matte finish. Number 6 is the last shiny one that will see the light of day and overall, this will be the last of the Sinews unless I feel like making them later in the year. Takes too long to find the right germanium transistor to really make the circuit sing and moving on with some other stuff.

Here's the breakdown if any of you kind folk are interested:

Numbers 1-5 are $155 plus shipping.
Number 6 is gonzo.
Numbers 7, 8, 9 (gonzo), 10 are a bit nastier looking so offering them for $145 plus shipping.

Hit me up if you want to snag. Posted up on Instagram too, pics look a little better there:

niiiiice!

i need to give you some feedback on mine, but it is currently the entirety of my fuzzy world!

gets nasty and weird when pushed or starved, but rocks hard and with a snarling, nervy edge just like DLJ

i'm sure i'll go back to playin' with some other fuzzes someday, but right now and for the foreseeable, it's not even a thought - total satisfaction

(and for those wondering who may not have rocked a buzzaround-based fuzz before - here there be mids :joy: no getting swallowed in the mix) :wizard:
