Dispatch Master - so this is what the fuss is about!

Post by _r_ »

Got one of these today and after about an hour of playing I'm comprehensively in love with it! Being a post-rock nut I've got the Reverb and Mix controls dimed and the sound is absolutely enormous but without being overbearing, even with the Mix on full it still seems to sit behind whatever you play to an extent rather than drowning it in a washy reverby mess. I own other reverbs (a Cathedral, and a Holy Grail that doesn't strictly work) but neither of them sound quite as sweet as this one, and I really like the way the delay is voiced too - not quite as pristine and carbon-copy as a DD-3 or something but not as muddy as an analogue delay, somewhere perfectly in between. When I can tear myself away from playing Explosions In The Sky songs I'm going to start running my acoustic through it at solo gigs - I do gloomy folky Americana stuff, with various bits of strumming, flatpicking and clawhammer-style playing but the sound of a straight amplified acoustic guitar leaves me feeling a bit dead so I quite fancy making the sound a bit more... enormous. I'll see how I get on.

So basically the point of this thread is merely talking about how utterly brilliant this pedal is.
