Sea Machine is pt2399 but is more Univibe-ish, I think. Cosmichorus always seemed more bright '80s style.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
I had a Sea Machine years ago, honestly I barely remember what it sounded like, but I much preferred the Cosmichorus. But, $500 seems pretty steep for a Cosmichorus to me, even if it's one of the later stereo ones.
No idea if the seller would ship, but I came across this older vinyl finished Cosmichorus that's for sale semi-local to me for a decent price. It's also listed on Facebook for $200 (Canadian).

Cosmichorus rules! I love mine!
If I'm not mistaken, they'll be a new version next year.

I believe Ryan hinted if on their insta awhile back, I commented "New cosmi?" or something there of and he (at least to my interpretation) confirmed it. I could be wrong though, it is possible I dreamt it, but I actually think it happened this timealexsga wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 4:31 pmooo excellent! dr scientist said so himself?PanicProne wrote: ↑Fri Dec 27, 2024 3:09 pm Cosmichorus rules! Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!

I'm thinking of putting these on an actual board. It's kind of a vision of a retro 70ies pedalboard, even though the pedals are obviously not period correct. Let's say it's 70ies inspired. The green fuzz is a Tone Bender Mk3. The EHX White Finger is not only a great compressor but also a fantastic overdrive/boost when in lamp setting and high pre gain settings. The MF-101 uses the LFO of the MF-102 to act sort of a phaser and the MF-102 is set to a slightly speed-modulated tremolo.
I put it together for a 70ies inspired recording project with an old friend in the vein of bands like Khruangbin, Air, Glass Beams and the like, so there's no actual need to have the pedals attached to a board but maybe I'll do it anyway.
Here's the reality check:
It would look and sound gorgeous for sure. I could also use it in my band and replace my current board just for fun for a while, but I would miss a volume pedal, a tuner and a Big Muff. Adding these would of course make it even bigger and at some point it gets a little bonkers, too. In my live- and practice setup I also lean more towards a form-follows-function approach. At home I rarely play with an amp, so having a board like this around would be kind of pointless, too. So maybe it stays just a recording setup without a board and is just a fun study of how a vintage inspired retro board could look and feel like.

In other news I'm planning an experimental add-on module to my main gigging board for jams, recordings and just the fun of it. It would contain Digitech FreqOut, EHX Superego, Malekko Charlie Foxtrott, EHX Ravish Sitar and Boss PS-3. Possibly with a master bypass switch like a Boss LS-2 or PSM-5.

It is more barrel than a fun of monkeys!

The FreqOut didn't behave, didn't want to cooperate with the power supply, did not add anything useful to the conversation and was just whining and whimpering so I had no choice than to throw him over board. Instead ye olde memory boy entered and got to work in the loop of the Superego. Much better. I also like the tidy cable management. I should definitely try something similar with my main board. It really looks like a rat's nest in comparision.
I believe I need to set the pedals to 100% wet and place it in parallel to the mainboard, then fade it in with a volume pedal.

Crank the feedback on the memory boy and set the delay time super low and you can probably get some freqout kind of sounds.

Re: Let's see your PEDAL BOARD!
the layout is very appealing, but i wouldn't do that degree of cable bundling because if one cord fails it'd require disassembling several points. this is the sort of thing where my aesthetics bow to practicality.
