Whenever I see a picture of an Ineko I think, "huh, that's interesting," while with the Warp I just think about how I have a bunch of pedals that already do that stuff.
echorec wrote: Fri Oct 24, 2025 6:41 pm I'll need to hear more, but I've used the Cosmos. (have you used the Cosmos? It's cool for Frippertronics or Eno-esque hypnotic minimalism.) I imagine the weirder stuff (top FX) on this will be similar to the smooth, fluttering glitchiness of that. I feel like the Warp might be a stronger alternative to something like the Hologram Chroma Console---but much easier to use thanks to the grid layout.
I have a Cosmos, and I have a strange love/hate relationship with it. And I have the same relationship with the Chroma Console. In both cases there things that frustrate me, but at the same time whenever I sit down with them I make music that I like. About a year ago I made a whole album's worth of music with just those two pedals. I think my lousy attitude just comes from the fact that I spent a lot of money on these pedals when I didn't really have that much money to spend, and whenever I see them I am prompted to muse upon my faults.

I thought about the Chroma Console in comparison to the Warp, but it doesn't seem like a great matchup, because with the Warp you can only use one effect at a time. So it's like, what, a super-focused HX One or something. The strength of the Chroma Console comes from combining the effects, since the individual effects aren't particularly noteworthy. Hopefully the Warp's effects will stand on their own, but I couldn't tell based on what they've shown so far.
Those are all fair points. :hobbes: ---I'd like to see more companies doing multi-fx for dummies----I just can't imagine enjoying something like the Zoia. I'm not big on menu-diving, so I prefer stuff like the Volante (Echorec+tape echo+Studio tape) or the Nebulus (flange+chorus+vibe with sub-modes). I like having everything on the surface with no feature memorization required. Thinking about the Warp and other tabletop multi-fx has me circling back to the Dust Collector from Finegear. Eventually, I want to play with one of these.

i have a Nebulus on my Normie Board that i love to pieces. it doesn’t necessarily do perfect modulation in any of its subgroups, but it does a lot of very good ones including the only TZF i’ve ever liked. what’s not to like about having 2 choruses, 3 flangers, and multiple rotaries in one box?

Agreed. I could never imagine letting mine go. It's versatile, straightforward, and complements a lot of things well.

Speaking of chorus, Vongon just dropped this Detuner/Saturator that sounds quite nice.

https://www.vongon.com/products/solarfaze
SOLARFAZE is a stereo audio processor that carries your sound across a sunlit landscape of phase and tone. it combines multi-band saturation with an envelope-controlled detune chorus.

Leon Dewan is showing off a prototype for his first synth in years. I have not seen anything with the Dewanatron brand in 10+ years, so this is an interesting surprise.

Lorre-Mill is producing a limited Arcade run of the Float Glass. This will allow their 8-stage phaser to function more like a tactile synth.
The arcade consists of two button gates, some extended inputs to the float glass circuits, and four VCAs controlled by a joystick. The VCAs can be used to process control voltages and audio signals. There are sixteen modes which change the function of the joystick; they are outlined in the table below. This device stems from working on the float glass and finding interesting sounds when patching the modulation elements through the phaser audio path, making the circuits into a noise synth.

I might go for an arcade version of Comb Room.
It kind of looks like just a standard Float Glass in a weird enclosure. I wonder if one could swap them out...

Here's a look at Evil Pet from Endorphin.es, a stereo granular sampler with a built-in FM radio.
EVIL PET can be a polyphonic synthesizer, a granular effect unit, a radio FM tuner, a reel-to-reel recorder, sampler and more.

Audio can either come from: the input jacks, the built-in microphone, the built-in FM tuner, or loading samples from a microSD card. Grains can be triggered by mechanical PLAY key or played 8-voices polyphonically via connected MIDI or MPE keyboard, allowing for expressive polyphonic performance and live experimentation.
$479 @ US dealers, €399 (+applicable fees in the EU)

Have you ever played any Lorre-Mill stuff? I wish the Double Knot was an AudioThing plugin. Then, I could randomize it constantly and insta-save my favorite happy accidents.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjXJg2Cy ... J1Zw%3D%3D Def enjoy the DK with a delay and/or spectral resonator.

I had a Double Knot for a little while and I was never quite sure what to do with it. I guess I just didn't take enough time. Adding some effects would probably be fun.

Just saw that the Evil Pet is expecting a line level input, so bear that in mind if you're hoping to use it with guitar. It has "+20 dB of digital gain" available, but apparently for guitar use they recommend using a preamp before it.

The first feature on their bullet point list is that it's pink. I guess that's nice. I wouldn't kick it out of bed, but like dubkitty I can't justify the expense. I can get close enough with the Anchorman + MOOD MkII.
