Developed a twitch in my right eye that's been going on for the past few days.

Kid pulled an exorcist in the back of the car again yesterday, running a slight fever... Now it's up to 102 and I'm 45 minutes away at work. MIL is going to try and get the fever down but if not, off to the hospital we go.
I, myself, am a shit post

One of my coworkers died. She was very elderly and I didn't know her well at all, but it's a small office of 12 (well, 11 now) people. We were organizing condolence cards on behalf of my boss and couldn't figure out if he even knew who she was. We're probably not going to her wake today because we're all too busy. I don't know why but this has sent me into a huge depression hole.

Yeah man that's shitty. Hopefully she has family that will be there. It's rough to see old people die alone.

She always had lots of pictures of younger relatives on her desk, so hopefully you're right. It's disturbing to me that you could work at a place for decades, and the second you die everyone moves on.BetterOffShred wrote:Yeah man that's shitty. Hopefully she has family that will be there. Sold a guitar on Reverb for the first time, it was delivered this afternoon - pretty sure the guy is setting up to ask for a partial refund. Discovered buzzing on a couple of strings (not there three days ago), wanted to know if the pickups had been adjusted because the "tone wasn't what [he] expected" and three hours later he claims the bridge pickup stopped working. Gee, I wonder if somebody decided to do a little pickup adjustment on his own?

Ugh that sucks. Shady Reverb-ers bum me out.jirodreamsofdank wrote:Sold a guitar on Reverb for the first time, it was delivered this afternoon - pretty sure the guy is setting up to ask for a partial refund. I'd recommend offering a full refund/return of the guitar. Faced with that they'll probably just stop whining and keep it.

Yeah, that's the plan. I figure it's unlikely he'd actively scratch it up or something in revenge so if I have to work on it and then list it again, c'est la vie. Or I'll suck it up and go trade it in somewhere for something.

... and there it is "would you cover the cost of a new pickup"?

scam-tastic :/
i'd email reverb help and get them involved. your guitar was working fine when you shipped it. then the guy definitely won't fuck with it if he decides to return it.

Doesn't it work like.... he'd request a refund, in which you will be notified and if your policy included no refunds, that's that...wait to see if he mentions return, then take charge saying you'll contact reverb because all was 100% when it left your possession.....

That's how it should work. I've only encountered it with non-music stuff on Ebay but they start messaging to complain and fish for money back without ever starting the return process. They count on everyone being terrified of negative feedback but apparently it's hard to actually leave negative feedback for a seller on Reverb.
