FUCK I'm so tired of every single time I find a (used, cheap) guitar I actually want it gets sold immediately. This time it was a sweeet MIJ Washburn Falcon '81. Tired of living in the sticks, far from a city, where the only guitars people wanna sell are shitty Epiphones and Deans.
Sick of being on antidepressants, can definitely relate to being tired and removed from the emotional world, I just wanna stop it but then I need more weed, which is impossible/super expensive to get right now. Fucking capitalism.
Also, fuck my former employer who managed to not do anything right re: my sick leave paperwork, so I still haven't gotten that money I should have had months ago, and now I have to apply for emergency funds.

Just when everything was chill for a minute, my mother gets diagnosed with cancer. Her mother had it as well, so I guess it's just genetics fucking shit up. Still, this just sucks.

What I do really doesn't matter, but doing nothing or not trying to actively change my behavior makes the darkness in me manifest even darker. And I know a lot of times when I try and go do something I'll have a bad experience or run into some shitty stupid idiots, but it's much better than sitting at home feeling bad about myself all day. Talking/venting to my friends and family helps too. Just know that with time things will eventually get better. feel free to PM me or msg me on steam if you need someone to talk to
That's definitely a hard thing for me to do. The South Jersey area is such a pit itself. Unless I want to go to endless strip malls/malls. Philly sucks a huge one as well.
I might take ya up on talking to you some time, who knows.
In new news, NAC fucked up in getting my files and now my release scheduled to be on time is going to arrive multiple weeks late. Awesome. Guess that's what I get for setting a release date and trusting people to do their jobs.

I thought the washer shit the bed yesterday. And of course it happened right around dinner time. So it was me trying to fix the washer, the wife trying to cook and the toddler seeing how far he could push us before we snapped.
After everyone lost it a little, dinner was great, washer was fixed and the kid is still alive.

(oh, my mom is totes fine and cancer-free for multiple years)
In my news, I took too much alcohol and other drugs last night. I'm not sick or anything or any irreparable damage, but still groggy and a little guilty as I've been trying to work on moderation. Fortunately, I have another 7 or so hours to sleep it off.
On a kind of funny note, I have two unsent text messages in my phone that are absolute gobbledegook.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Thanks alot, everybody. We're a pretty close knit family, spent most of this evening talking about it. Cracked a few cancer jokes. It's awful, but trying to stay positive. No use worrying about what we can't affect, right? So I'm focusing on supporting her as much as I can. We've already been through it once with my grandmother, and she made a full recovery. Hopefully my mom will do the same. They didn't catch it early it seems, but she found the lump only last week, and will most likely go on the operating table next week. Then chemo and all that shit.
Anyway, thanks for the support you guys, I really appreciate it.
Now I got to go read fifty pages of Adam Smith for tomorrows seminar. It's half past ten in the evening over here. Yeah.

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
Adam Smith? Easy peasy.
Individuals by pursuing their own personal economical interests actually serve the common good. This is the fundamental rule of libertarianism he refers to as the "invisible hand". The rest is jibber jabber about taxes being bad because perversion of the invisible hand and so on. The guys reactionary enough to propose salaries be reserved to subsistence and therefore shall be indexed on the cost of wheat. Building up on these foundations are all the classic libertarian authors: Ricardo's international division of production, abolish taxes because the Portuguese make shit wine the British can exchange for shit drapes and make themselves richer because shit wine is pricier in England than shit drapes and vice versa; Schumpeter's innovation will be the source of growth in a competitive market; Say's law of supply creating it's own demand and law of laissez faire.
The invisible hand is the main flaw of libertarianism, refuted philosophically by Rousseau's social contract and economically by Keynesians.
Philosophically. The postulate is that the common good is the sum of each members of society's private and personal inferests. This is the definition of democracy - you vote for what you think is better for yourself. By contrast, the republicanist approach, defined by Rousseau, perceives the common good, not as a sum, but a whole - you vote for what you think is better for society, not your particular situation.
Economically. Supply does not create demand. Let's distribute salaries, prevent hoarding and have debt: a solvable demand is the source of all growth. No need to make shit if you can't sell it. Application dates back to Fordism: high salaries because ford employees buy ford cars.
D'arcy's crash course in Adam Smith.
For the rest, I cannot offer more than

Re: The spite, hate, rage, apathy and mild irritation thread
That's great dude, but I'm reading his ethics, ie. his work on sentiments, how we approve or disapprove of our own actions by imagining how we would react if another person did the same action, how we survey our sentiments by removing ourselves from them, society as a mirror etc. Thanks, though.

WELL IT STILL APPLIES... Yeah okay, it doesn't. I actually had no idea he had written anything beyond his essay on the wealth of nations.
