Well, it's not like they're alive when I'm doing it. I'm not a goddamn barbarian.

Was in the studio recording guitars for my bands upcoming EP. Shits gonna be nuts, looking at close to 3 tracks of guitar for this one song alone. Gonna be maximalist as fuck.

We got a kitten recently. She is an absolute joy and our other cats are finally starting to warm to her, which is the best bit.

I just finished planning a trip to Japan in October. I couldn’t be more excited: Mt. Fuji, the haunted forest, the video game district, sanrio land, sumo training, and whatever random things we do in between those things. I couldn’t be more excited!

sumo training? hopefully not with one of those 700-pound dudes squishing the breath out of you!

Apparently you can go to the training facilities where sum wrestlers live and watch them do their morning practice. Years of sitting behind a desk have turned me into a weak office worker.

My recommendations...
Osaka - Misono Building = warehouse full of tiny weirdo underground bars, it's awesome, look it up.
Kyoto - Go to POP Pizza... Dan McNellie of The Test Patterns + Secret Mission Records owns it w/ his wife and it's THE BEST American pizza you will find in Japan. Also just super fun and there's a cool townie guitar shop nearby with a lot of vintage MIJ stuff.
There is a small family owned cafe in/near the Gion district there called Cafe Yamato. It is the best coffee and basic "business man" breakfast you will have. It's the only coffee so strong I needed to add milk to drink but was actually good to.
Tokyo:
Poor Cow in Shimokitazawa - Bar owned by Fifi of Teengenerate. He's super into every kind of music and will let you play records and talk all night. You can meet alot of musicians here. It's also near The Shelter.
Koenji - A kind of hip suburb, it's worth checking out and where I stay in Tokyo. The UFO club is nearby.
Disk Union - Theeee most amazing record and CD store chain you will EVER go to.
Are you going to Kyushu at all?

Sorry all! Meant to put a picture up but the internet is difficult now, photofucket is no good so I had to learn Imgur.
Anyway, this is Freya, she is a total cutie and we love her very much

Yeah, she really is. She's the runt of the litter so when we got her at 8 weeks old she wasn't much bigger than my hand. As far as we can tell she was still suckling as the rest of the litter wouldn't let her get into the wet food so we had to try and help her complete the weaning process and fatten her up a bit as she was small.
She is now off milk (but still takes a little occasionally) but we haven't been able to get her to eat anything other than white fish, prawns and crab which is less than ideal but it's still a work in progres. Plus side of it is that she has doubled in size (give or take) in the few weeks we've had her, which the vet was happy about this morning. The downside is she stinks of fish! Going to start trying to get her onto wet food or at least things that don't live in the sea now.
