have been wanting to take the band further into "post metal" territory over some of the stuff we were doing which lacked some of the more atmospheric elements I wanted.
one guitarist is hella into prog and prog metal. he's a fucking ripper but also loves shredding. but at the last few practices he's just bashed drums and our bassist played guitar. he's super into melodic hardcore, post rock/metal, and all kinds of shit.
there's lots of overlap but sometimes everybody's personal loves fight for power. last night we were able to just lock in a song that is absolutely perfect for where I want the band to be.
feels good, man.
This sounds rad! It's so great to get to that good place with a band.

We were supposed to practice tonight but it’s cold as shit and visibility due to snow is garbage.

Is that happening tonight? Clear as fuck in California right now so I might try and peep that tonight.
Got my J Mascis Jazzy about a week ago now and god damn I love it so much already. I've given myself some time to get over the honeymoon phase of it and the good feels still haven't passed. It plays great, sounds amazing and is capable of so much. It speaks to me man. Been sounding great for band demos too.

Yes, it is happening tonight, so take your babe out for a nice romantic moonlight stroll.
Congrats on the JM Jazzmaster, too, it sounds like you found a great guitar. Enjoy!

Just got off the phone with Ms. Diver's father and he said he'd be totally cool with me making her Mrs. Diver and he's happy to have me as part of his family.

Thanks hombre! Gotta appease the old school southern rents.
