I replaced the power tubes on my Laney amp, which died unexpectedly just as i was about to play at the company picnic the other week, and it worked! i'm now back to one out of three amps working. I actually woke up fairly happy today, and i NEVER wake up happy. My cat was very sweet to me while i was waking up. This day might be OK.

I thought of posting a fake sale in the BST section for a LAL 87 Moduloscillo Fuzz but then realized it would have been to cruel to eivind after all. I don't want to be that guy.
Still the idea of it kept me smiling for quite a while even after the fact.

First bit of good news I've gotten in awhile today.

So I'm a property owner/manager (it's my main source of income these days). Anyway, I'm selling a property to get another property. It turns out the folks that have the property I want, want my property. Their's is worth about 10k more than mine, possibly more and it's in a more desirable place in town. I also will be getting a hefty check because we put 30% down on the previous property and are only putting 20% down on the new one. Like a lot of fucking money...

So, I'm going to be able to pay all my CC debt off, get new tires, buy a new fridge and a few other things.

Seriously, best news in awhile. So relieved by that.

Hell yeah, congrats jwar!

My band is getting tighter every practice. I'm starting to get more comfortable doing some vocals here and there. We're definitely starting to develop a cohesive sound too. I love that. A bunch of songs and riffs and shit that I didn't think really sounded cohesive before, suddenly sounds like it could all be on the same album, if that makes sense. We've had a couple "Holy shit" moments where we had perfect timing or something just clicked. Fucking stoked.

My bass player said we sound like a weirder, meaner Man or Astroman. My drummer has compared us to Shellac. I think we sound like shoegaze Fugazi. Shoegazi.
