Hooray healthy lifestyles.
Furnace seems to be working again after two days without heat. Pretty stoked on that.

Electrical storm woke me up at 2 last night, which was kinda cool.
But when I fell back to sleep I had a nightmare about my daughter getting run over by a truck.
I did not sleep again after that.

I recently learned even through all my gear purchases and general comfortable living, I've been able to save 6,000 in around 6 months. With my meager salary that is actually ridiculous, although pairing down stuff also helped a lot but I feel like it was just working hard and trying to budget well. This makes me excited at being able to make bigger gear purchases but also me and my girlfriend have talked about moving out of the USA for a bit. I'm from Mexico, and she is from Japan and we are saving with an idea of maybe living in either place and see what the hell happens that is if I can stop myself from buying a new guitar or amp

.
plus at my work there were some scary change of hand that was possibly going to lead to layoffs but the last meeting seem to put that in the wayside with some nice transparent conversation about what will be happening next year. So I'm optimistic!

I just ate ice cream for breakfast.
Was fucking lovely. I'm gonna worry about the consequences some other time.

There are no consequences. Existence is futile.

In the middle of this crazy week, I went to jam with a drummer last night. He had a guitar and bass setup in his jam room, along with mics and a recording setup. He also had a bunch of posters from badass shows his band opened up for in Portland (NOMEANSNO!)
I started on guitar but nerves and the crappy strat knockoff he had kind of messed me up.
So I switched to bass, ran it through my Percolator, Mini prototype, and Super Puzzle and into his old loud ass Peavey and suddenly everything just fucking WORKED. He went nuts. I played some old fuzzy riffs from back in the day that I haven't touched in forever and he was laying down grooves like nobody's business.
He basically said this was it. 2 man heavy fuckin noise punk. I needed this after the shit I've been through this month.
OH! Also I'm probably going to be doing some part time work for Tiny Engines, a local-ish record label.
...now I just need a job and a house HAH

Bought some snickerdoodles from this local grocery (whose cookies tend to suck, honestly) and they are the best cookies I've ever eaten.

Cinnamon + white chocolate =

Worked 22 out of the past 28 hours. Pulled off a crazy successful hospital Christmas party for 1600 including the third shift. All with a team of 9 people and two cats for the overnight. Just got home, beers and then Going to bed.
