Ah, got it. And dirty water is great, btw. The guitar parts later in the song really made it stand out, that was some fine work.

Well, I'm employed through the 16th. Plus getting paid out for accrued PTO and being eligible for unemployment benefits, I can basically afford to take the last two weeks of the year as a staycation, then hit the ground running on finding a new job come January.
(Not that I won't be trying before then, it's just nice to have my financial security in order)

My son is 17 days old now and everytime I look at him I've got a huge smile on my face (well, not when he's doing metal vocals or when I'm changing the diapers

).
Seriously, unconditional love is something I never experienced before. I love my wife but I have many, many reasons for that. I love my son just because he exists.

Isn't that an amazing feeling? Congrats man.
Dwarfcraft just found the most perfect spot ever to move our business. It has a built in stage, big rooms, and an industrial kitchen that was used to feed the homeless in our community. We are looking to pair with a non-profit in our area to continue that work, as well as start some new ventures to help our community.
It is a lot more than our current rent, but also almost 4 times bigger and we could do so much with it. Send us good vibes in the coming months. If we can make this work, DC is gonna do some big things in 2017.

This is some seriously awesome stuff! I was just having similar thoughts of my almost three year old. I just look at her and smile. And then she's terrible but even then I just love her so much.
That sounds so rad for the new dwarfcraft space! I wish I had a nonprofit to move in there haha

Congrats!! I hope the new space works out for y'all, that sounds like an amazing opportunity to spread goodwill to your community. Are you thinking some kind of DIY venue with that stage?
Tomorrow marks 7 weeks since I last drank alcohol - while I rarely ever got drunk, I consistently drank 1-3 beers almost every night. Much like my pedals, I enjoy my beer artisanally crafted, so you can imagine the cost adds up. I've noticed that it's easier to wake up most mornings and I get less tired at night, but honestly there's not much else that feels different. It's good to step back and actually reaffirm that I'm not dependent on substances though.
I've also made a vow after dropping mad $$$$ on Black Friday that, at least during December, I wouldn't be
buying any weed so we'll see how the actual sobriety goes when I run out of my current stash in a week or two. Hopefully the no drugs/alcohol budget will allow me to give my friends a decent Christmas before I start paying off my PayPal credit.

Good luck with the sobriety. Since the wife has stopped drinking I've consumed significantly less. Works out alright.
I should spend money on rad gear to keep me from buying more beer.
Good luck, man.

Tomorrow I'm jamming with my dudes for the first time in six years. We were in a very successful (regionally) band a number of years ago until the project ended bitterly and have spent the past few years rekindling friendships. We've grown as people and are gonna try something new musically. I'm very excited!
