It's cool when it works out that way.
I played in a dear friend's semi-improv band the other night. We were loud as fuck and everyone who came said it was the best so far

I like playing improv shows. It's like getting on a roller coaster with a blindfold on or something.
Yeah improv shows are very exciting. On a good night it's my favourite way to play music. It's not always a good night, but it's still fun to try!
I used to play in a band where when we started we had about half the material we needed to play the shows we were booking so the rest was improv. Gradually we learned more songs and stopped doing it as much which was both good and bad.

One more payment and I'm officially out of debt. Picking up a 70's Peavey Classic 50 on sunday (been using a $15 swap meet bass amp for years.) things are finally starting to come together.

Back home from touring Europe for two weeks. Have had such a good time and met so many (old and new) friends. If anything, touring really gives you perspective and I feel super lucky and grateful to have been able to do so.
I know there is probably a good dose of PTD waiting for me 'round the corner, but I am very focused on kicking on with things (starting a new full time job on monday which I'm really looking forward too) rather than letting it get the best of me.

They're selling beer on the train! Norway just leveled.

They didn't always do that?
How do you live in a world where you can't buy beer on the train?

are you allowed to drink it on the train, though?

You clench your teeth. Free healthcare helps.
But yeah, Norwegian alcohol laws are pretty dumb, though they mean well.
And yes, of course I drink it on the train. I've always been able to drink on the train, just not buy beer.

if i drank on the train i'd be lucky to get fined a hundred bucks.
i don't understand how this country is still full of drunks even though we have some of the most expensive alcohol and strictest alcohol laws in the world.
