The simple pleasure of aiming your speakers out the window and blasting screamo or grindcore at the workers next door, forcing them to turn off their shitty radio and listen to Graf Orlock or Loma Prieta at an even higher volume level than their radio was.

last night i got out the Les Paul and was playing shoegaze stuff with the chorus (Mind Warp), phaser (TC 12-stage) and flanger (TC SCF) going simultaneously. it was just a wall of WOOOOSH with occasional bits of tonality peeping around the edges.

holy shit, I finally put a new needle on my record player and my mind is blown, like I knew I should of years ago but damn (I've had this thing for about 8 years with the needle that came on it). I've never replaced a needle on any record player I've had and I even aligned it and set everything somewhat properly as opposed to eyeballing this time. Records sound amazingggggggg, execpt for the shitty ones, they just sound extra hifi shitty but that's fine.

Started the night at a random persons house playing hand drum, bass, and piano, ad libbing Lauren Hill and Gnarls Barkley. Went dancing with said new crew for almost three hours. Lazy Sunday wake up snuggles.
Enjoying this wave for as long as I can.

We played "Killing Me Softly" for 15 minutes straight, it was the best feeling.

Saddled some entitled know-nothing hipster with my drink tab for the evening.
Scoring that one as a win for Jesus.

Fixed two broken fuzz pedals and the pickup on my guitar... I don't think I've ever had this many successes with DIY in one day before! Also heavy fuzz into flange and tremelo made me happy

Jesus is love.
Love is alcohol.
