Replace "vous" by "toi" because you're probably internet buddies or something so it shouldn't be too formal and it's perfect :)

Congratulations, D'arcy!!!

I'm kind of surprised at how well I've been able to get shit done in Philadelphia so far. I moved here after only looking for apartments for two weeks, found a new apartment for December two weeks after that (long story), and today I got a job offer doing work that's super in line with my past experience, and pays more than I've made in the past. On top of some other exciting things happening... I don't know, man. I look back at my life this year and it was full of such many different stories, of happiness, tragedy, adventure, dissolution, so many things coming to and end and so many doors opening all at once... it's kind of overwhelming.

I just feel so fortunate to be here now. To have been supported by people I know so well, but even more so those don't know very well at all, including a fair number of ILF peeps. I've made plenty of mistakes, but I'm just so relieved to feel positivity flowing back into my life again.

Congrats dude. Can I contact you for legal advice? And do I get lawyer/client confidentiality when getting said advice?

Bravo DD'y. You can now enjoy lies, greed and your genuine passion for watches, sailing and adultery without shame

You're French DD, shouldn't you be doing that already? But I mean, I guess it's polite to ask UC first...

Exciting times. Thinking about taking 6 months off from work and/or full time studies after I finish my thesis early next year. I'd have to make adjustments (like not buying any pedals and spend more cleverly on food, for example), but think I'd have enough money saved up otherwise. It all depends if a certain offer I've recieved turns out working or not. But still, what do people reckon? I really feel like going for it. I've always wanted to do 6-12months with music as my main focus, just to see where it would get me creatively and as a person. Also, I dont have a family or relationship to look after. Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

You should totally do it. I did the same thing before starting on my masters programme, and it was really worth it.

If I was ever going to take time off like that I'd still want a low-stress part-time job (like a pizza joint) for some minimal income (and pizza) and for something to break the monotony.

Yeah too much free time can be just as stifling as not enough (call it the anti-gunslinger burrito phenomenon)
