Spring has sprung.
Besides still having this nasty cough, I'm almost over this nasty cold.

Sold my ibanez ric bass to a really nice guy in Nashville - got the funds in usd so I'm rollin' in it. The Ampeg V2 I've been obsessing over is still available, so there's a good chance it'll be mine very soon

When you see someone so incredibly hot that you just stop and stare like it's some kind of mythical wild creature that was placed on this Earth to exude beauty and love and happiness and you just wanna try and capture it and tame it and keep it and love it forever...

The outdoor venue brought it down from "painfully loud" to "uncomfortably loud"

Had first practice where I played guitar, ever, actually had a lot more fun then I do on bass (as far as I remember anyway), and I had no effects to use either (just the amp reverb and tube dirt). Loved it.
Also, went to hike our city mountain today with a friend, took us two hours to get to the top, and she's awesome so we talked a lot too. Was wonderful to get out of the city to the point where you can't hear anything but birds, streams and wind. Nature <3
There was actually this distinct moment where you couldn't feel or hear that sub-level rumble of the city traffic anymore, felt like transition to peace.

So, due to the vagaries of online dating, I am currently talking to two very lovely ladies. It will eventually create a quandary, but right now it is kind of nice. Basically, I have been talking to Erin for 6 weeks. She is exactly my age (35ish), never married, no kids, hasn't even dated in 5 years. Very self-sufficient. She has amazing taste in music, is very cute and playful, and we have excellent chemistry. The downsides are that while she only lives 2 and a half hours away, she lives in Canada. Thanks to Kik and her phone plan, we text every day and talk on the phone once or twice a week. I really like her. Besides the country thing, the only real negative is that she is (admittedly) very timid about starting a relationship. She operates on the idea that we should be totally best friends before we even talk about a romantic relationship. We are very flirty, but getting her to even hint at a physical attraction is difficult.
Arryn showed up less than a week ago. She lives an hour and a half away, in America. She's younger (30), divorced, no kids. Excellent music taste, artistic, musically inclined, more serious, less playful. Thing is, there is a very physical chemistry between us. Like, an immediate physical response. She wants a long-term romantic relationship and we seem very compatible. If there is a downside, it is that the immediate physical reaction scares me a bit. I don't want to be blinded by lust.
TL;DR This guy has somehow managed to find two attractive young ladies who like Bad Religion, beer, and me. So, I mean, that's pretty cool.
