Dude that's awesome. I miss playing live so much. The thrill you get when it's to walk out on stage and play that first song...

My band just played our first non-basement show last night. We were scrambling to get songs ready before in the afternoon but in turned out well. A bunch of friends came, I got free booze and then my one of my band mates' roommate played some of the best doom I've ever heard, live or recorded material. It was absolutely fucking crushing. It's funny because we opened for them and we play really poppy surf rock

I got my old magic the gathering cards out and I found some old cards I painted on and I'm really satisfied as to how they turned out, considering I'm not a painter by any means.
Since I went to Portugal on a youth exchange I've been finding that I'm talented in a lot of things, without putting too much effort into them I get a lot back. Makes me feel really happy. I got into Frisbee tricks fast, I was told that I was talented for surfing, and I learned how to do circular breathing to play a didgeridoo in like, 3 times! The guy that explained it to me was like "Holy shit dude!", and we talked about how he teaches a lot of people and how he sees a lot of how someones mind/opinions get in the was of accomplishing something.
Guess meditation does pay off

I knoowwww man.
It's really great tho. We have nothing recorded yet, no web presence, no one knows who we are and I've been keeping everything under wraps from the people who know my music locally. We're gonna roll up as complete unknowns and hopefully we'll take some people by surprise and gain fans.

had a terrible time trying to fall asleep this morning - stress, anxiety. Took the day off instead of going to class - getting caught up on work now with Recurring by Spacemen 3 on the stereo and Canadian club on the rocks.
