After being in a bit of mopey slump for the past two days or so, today I decided to do some gardening.
I feel great having removed a shit ton of ferns and miscellaneous long leafy things, some ivy, and successfully uprooting and disposing of the bastard thorn tree from hell.
Weird how therapeutic gardening is, I feel the best and most accomplished than I have in ages.

Yeah, just accomplishing little tasks can do wonders for a mood.
I, on the other hand, slept all day and I couldn't feel better. Except that now I need to go to work. :O

Selling a whole heap of shit that I don't really use. Getting rid of a few guitars and amps.
It's a really good feeling to shed yourself like that.

Gone on quite a few dates over the last week and a half. They've been really fun, and the spontaneity is very different for me. It's amazing. Already made some incredible memories.
Unfortunately it's meant that I haven't had any time to build a pedal. But it is definitely worth it.

I've been playing drums with this one dude for like a month and a half (super White Stripesy sounding stuff [mostly because we're still a two piece]) and we had our first "real" show opening for this other band. It went pretty well. Like not perfect, but most of the shit I felt like it was the kind of shit only musicians would notice.
It was a good set and then I got drunk, and then I got a sandwich. And now I'm at home with a good drink and a tiny bit of a sandwich.
Ok, surry I'm durrrrrnk. Basically, we played a barn-party for my parents' friends with a tip jar and me and the other guy got $150 out of that. I kind of lived in/my parents still are in the rich very suburb-suburb.

Starting a new job at a little bakery/candy place next week. I worked there for one day last week and HOLY BALLS IT'S SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY OTHER JOB I'VE HAD
No corporate BS, no managers hassling you, relaxed environment, easy to get along with coworkers and the owners, everybody jokes, everybody shares cleaning duties, easier work, the pay's better (although after gas it's about the same), they already said I was doing good and moving fast...
Finally, one more week of crappy graveyard shifts and I'm getting the hell outta there.
