Holy shitstorm the Genz Benz combo is the ballz with that new speaker. Have used it for bass and guitar practices now. HM2'd the shit outta that thing with guitar today. Trying a new A tuning. Going to triple amp it into the megalith-laney-2x15 for low end and Monarch-traynor-1x15 for overdrive tomorrow. My pal stopped over and showed me how to use my recording software some the other night. Excite!

As a bullshit cog in the government machine that just had to renew my OSHA training, I approve this message
^Truth, the studio is for capturing the perfectly rehearsed song not a place to write the song. If you don't know the songs back to front, then you have no business being there and you're just wasting everyone's time and money. The fix it in the mix mentality is bullshit. Learn your stuff beforehand and everything will run as smoothly as possible.
we did 7 songs in four days with most takes being a one shot deal. Bet your ass we practiced like maniacs running up to it.

Yea I've been missing playing as many shows as I once did but I appreciate more so having the time to write and record all the material I do as I feel like.
At least all the bands I ever was part of when we went to record we were always ready and can knock out the shit quickly.
it always seems like the bands with a single guitar player (except one of the bands) always had them spending more time because yea they can knock out what they play live and a second track to thicken it up... but then it's now the ability to throw in so much more shit that they want to see if it works. sometimes it does good sometimes it's not. I'm glad when i was doing drums it was almost 90% of a one take per song after. usually one warm up play through and then the actual recording. hell sometimes the warm up play through.. we recorded and it was great enough to just keep. And the bands I played bass in were drummer was tight got his shit down quickly enough, I one took all my basslines and all my vocals. and then leave it to the guitarists and vocalists to eat up more time.
was that simms the one on ebay not too long ago? there was one I remember I threw a bid on but forgot but I don't remember the sticker on the front.

How short do you think I am? Tip toes is manly as shit.
Hell have you seen the stack I put my Randall RG300 on? it sits on 2 Sunn 412L cabs and then on a Fender Bassman 412 pyramid cab. I have to get a goddamn stick to turn it on and off.

Oh man! Those are on my short list. Have you seen the guy in Europe who turns them into three channel monsters? I am trying to get one of my amps back together after ups destroyed it. It's getting close.
