Re: Seppuku FX
Does anyone know what was wrong with the old Seppuku Mind Warps? Apparently mine has been quite broken since I got it, when I thought it was just a Seppuku pedal being a Seppuku pedal.

Wait, it was? I thought that's just the way it sounded? How do you know/what are you comparing it too? Dude, I had no idea...It sounded like a lfo vibrato thing when I had it. PM me.Strange Tales wrote:Does anyone know what was wrong with the old Seppuku Mind Warps? Welcome to the club of 'puku!
I wonder where all the ParkingWars painted ones are these days. I just picked up one and I know UG has at least two of them (OctaveDrone knife (depicted) and Mind Warp with decapitated elephant).
They're kind of neat, yet pretty damn ugly.

Re: Seppuku FX
Guess I should join this thread, being a Seppuku owner due to the legend known as UC. I put my Kompakt Kassette back on my board after a while (I think around January) and got lost in it all over again. The only thing I wish it had was an eq section, to downplay that midrange sound once in a while.

Pedals you can't buy.
If you somehow figure out how to send money, you can't expect any kind of service.
If you receive a pedal, it may or may not bear much resemblance to what you thought you were ordering.
You might get swastikas.

So is the DPM over and done with, or does Rhys sometimes revive things like that?

Re: Seppuku FX
Rhys produced a few Mind Warps again this year after a longer pause. I don't think he will make a few new DPM's, but maybe something else like that, like the Pitch Monster or the Digit/Digitizer. That Holtek IC isn't rare so he might come up with something again.Dandolin wrote:So is the DPM over and done with, or does Rhys sometimes revive things like that?
I wonder if they have the original etched graphics under those awful paintings? Please someone tell me that these were originally bare boxes!UglyCasanova wrote:They're kind of neat, yet pretty damn ugly.![]()

My memory loss was the first small builder pedal I bought, and I kinda had in mind that I'd have to wait a while. But back then I received several emails and he included some extra features to make it up. I think I got it 3 months after I ordered though

All of this are the reason I'd never, ever direct order.
