Oh, you guuuuys! :)*

With all the changes Rhys makes to his pedals, I don't think a full collection is possible. I don't keep the ones I don't like though. For example; Hypnodrone has my old EcoMod, and jwar called dibs on the Mind Warp.

Buuuut, I still want to try the new version of the EcoMod with the loop knobbsies. :excellent:

And for the record, I had no idea he had made a pedal called JunkTone before I ordered it either.

lordgalvar wrote:I would say that the Memory Loss is a wet-mixed take on a normal delay. The artifacts and stuff are almost like information is lost due to overloading the system. It is neat for call and responce and normal delay stuff. From what I can tell, the EC is more atmospheric and droney; something totally different even though they may be based in the same realm.
The Memory Loss glitch quality is one of the things I would hope to approach with the trigger-in ideas being thrown around in the other thread, though I know there are aspects to what Rhys is getting with the ML that have nothing to do with re-triggering....

I just found out about the compact Kassette and now I'm sad I can't just buy one and own one and use it. There's probably like three in existence. Invite only. Help :(

Yea, like a month ago I was complaining I couldn't find any Seppuku pedals. Now I own like 6 of them. If you keep doing diligence, you'll find them. The only thing this doesn't work for is Sonic Crayon pedals.

Or Lastgasp 87, 45, 86, ripplet, Sakura boost and Green Monster. I've seen more sonic crayon than those in the last 6 months. It's getting to the point where Eivind might be right: a bidding slug fest between me, UG, and him will break out over the next 87.

I just got back into pedals last year and I have already had 2 Kompakt Kassettes, Mind Warp, Memory Loss, Repeater, and the DPM-2 (and I am waiting for DLFO). That whole time I was really looking for a not-$1000 ripplet, a 45 and a 87. :idk:

if an 87 does come up it'll be like the rattle crow, none seen for ages and a beaten up one goes to obscene bidding war, then 2 or 3 mint ones come up shortly after for half as much.

It'd be one hell of a gamble to let it pass haha. I dunno, UG got his Sick Pitch King while I made an attempt at a social life and I forgot to bid, but I eventually found one (and it is everything I hoped it would be, except it has a bit of a wine from the carrier oscillator that bleeds over when bypassed...probably need a new switch).

Ripplet! Dang man, that has been on my list for like 12-13 years. haha.

Speaking of the Kompakt Kassette: I placed mine at the start of the chain yesterday. Power rolled back, delay time rolled back, flip switch to the right (whatever that does. Diodes? I have no idea).

Anyways: Holy shit, I want it to be my new clean sound.

I think I get some bleed through too, could be design :idk:

I am pretty sure that it is based on the Maestro design at least in so way and knowing the era it came out in it is entirely possible that it isn't true bypassed. I dunno, I'd have to take a look. Since I went back to the isolated power supply I am hearing all these quirks (instead of hum). The metasonix is like that too.

UC: yea, playing the KK clean, first gets some interesting neat results, I just find that it makes fuzzes a little muddy no mater where it is when you turn up the destruct or whatever control. It's got some neat non-bendish sounds though, like you said.

I just checked my spk and there is not any bleed through. I use batteries too when possible.

I feel like a fifth grader hangin out with the cool kids from the high school, trying not to cough my lungs out as I fight to hold in my first toke. Is there a Cliff Notes version of the History and Mystery of Seppuku FX? I need to be able to tell my EccoMod from my Kompact/Mini/Mikro Kassette and the whys and wherefores of Memory Loss and Mind Warpage. C'mon doodz, think of the next generation. Clue me in...I'll bring a dime bag of diodes to the gym before the game Friday. Pleeeeze?
