Following up: Echolution 2 Deluxe can kill dry signal from the front panel.
dats a lot o' delay right there! haha
so this totally didn't work out how i thought it would. but I still like the repeater. really nice delay.
got someone making me a small arcade button killswitch yeeeeeeaaaaa
Its pretty neat using the selfosc and adjusting the delay time to build a little osc. The possibilitities!
When those notes would bloom when he let the keys go: awesome. The clusterflux really has some midi possiblities. Pitch bending a flange? I don't really know how all this would work when combined with guitar, but it could be sweet. Controlling self-oscillation with a sequencer? Really want one now.

I keep gassing for a big muff. I have no idea why. I tried a musket and preferred the elements for high gain sounds, and low gain was nice but nothing that I couldn't get from most other fuzzes on low gain. I don't really dig most of the muff demos I've listened to. But somehow I keep wanting to buy one. I think it's because I'm a sucker for peer pressure.
I've now rearranged my board - kicked off the No Memory delay because it was to unreliable and I couldn't get it to sit where I wanted in the mix. Put the ILFDD on there which is just my favourite delay ever for leads and I am inansanely happy. Every time I play I just love it.
But I keep thinking "what would an MF delay be like on the board??"
I think about MF delays a lot. It is Soni's fault.
So basically I keep wanting to buy gear that I either don't really want nor like (muff) or where I have already covered one of my favourite sounds ever (delay).
Enormous facepalm.

That’s quarter-assed at best.

I'm right there with you on the delay side. I have had to fight hard to tell myself I'm good on delay and not to add a few more things, especially when the right deal presents itself. My first delay was a Space Echo that I still have--a lot of people would call it done at that.

At some point I had four delays, mostly coveted boutiquey stuff, all on my board, but they finally got canned by the Strymons. First El Cap, then I upgraded to the Timeline. Even though the TL is far from able to make all the sounds you can create with delay, it's still so versatile that I have not completely used it to it's fullest. I love that thing. Somehow it has killed almost all of my delay GAS. And I have special pedals for delay sounds the TL can't create (MWFX Judder, GB24), those will take a very specific subset of delay, stuff usually hidden in the "misappropriation" drawer and expand on that.
I'm happy with delay. But I want to step up my modulation game!
Edit: a buddy will let me borrow his possessed! How great to know gearheads in the same town.
