The VI's PUs seem slightly larger on a "use a pedal to eyeball width on both" by about 1/4".

Don't have measuring tape handy.

My pedalboard costs approximately 191 Metal Zones.

Has anyone used a jaguar 1/4 lb in these? I'm not at all satisfied with the alumitone in the bridge

What's wrong with it? Been seriously thinking of getting Alumitones for my VI but its sort of a gamble because I've never heard of anyone but you doing it haha

It sounds really cool, it's just not loud/mid heavy enough for me in a bridge pickup. I'm using this as sort of a big guitar in a weird hardcore project currently, so the super full range is actually not as useful with fuzz/distortion for me. It slays for clean/slightly overdriven stuff. They may also not have been installed properly? The dude who put them in for me is currently learning how to tech and had to look up the wiring diagram and such. I need to play around with height before I for sure get rid of it. The neck is fucking awesome though, I use it a ton.

My favorite position on the VI is the neck but it gets a little flubby sometimes with dirt. Did the Alumitones tighten it up a bit?

My stock bridge pickup is crazy grindy and gets a weird cocked wah sound with dirt. I was hoping the Alumitones would keep the grind but add a bit more bass. Hmmm.

You could also try sensors. The Lace people recommended Sensors over Alumitones for bass vi.

The Alumitones definitely tightened it up, bell/piano like is how I'd describe the neck. As for the bridge, my stock pickup wasn't grindy enough at all. I know I love the 1/4 lb sound on my jazz/p bass and I really doubt the guitar pickup sounds much different which is why I think it would work well.

With a matching headstock, I think both UC and I would fap for days.

Tone for days is overrated. Fap for days is the true way of the fuzz.
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

Thanks guys!

Been thinking of doing a matching headstock but I don't know what sort of decal I would put on it. I don't wanna put a fender one on there - false advertising. And its hard to find a Squier decal.

I had the idea to get a small aluminum tag, like a nameplate, and having something etched on it and screw it into the headstock.

Ill think of something.
