Gotta have both. Bass vi is very cool but not a real bass and totally its own thing. Like neonblack said you can't play as aggressive or get the real lowzzzz.kosta wrote:Man, you guys are making me want to hang up my Bass VI and just get a proper bass. So good...

Is that bottom one a Musicmaster with a different neck or a Bronco with a replaced pickguard, or have you built yourself my dream bass?greyscales wrote:

Epiphone EB-0 a cheap short scale. Picked it up used off of Craigslist and it had some flatwounds on it. Stock pickups sound great, even fuller than a vintage Gibson EB-0 I came across once.

Yessir, I play bass in Ondezvous. I rotate between those three basses depending on the venue.christafarai wrote:whoa! Sick dude. Do you play in any bands in lexington?greyscales wrote: Thought I'd take a picture of them all at once this time.

Re: Let's see your BASS!
There is nothing like smashing and bashing the shit out of your instruments. I don't have any experience with the bass VI, but I abuse the shit out of my basses and guitars. Except my 335 epi deluxe. They just look so fragile. I love to get a guitar feeding back then give it a solid hiding. Its better than psychotherapy and more fun.neonblack wrote:Bass VI is amazing, but when I want to tap into my primal caveman side, I grab my four stringer. I've stopped babying the VI so much, but I still treat her nicer than my Gretsch.

Every time I'm on here, I remind myself how I need a bass VI
Every time I play one in the store, something just doesn't feel right.
I have a love/hate relationship with it.
But it would be be fun to play early placebo song on it.
