Yeah all dirt is from the QM.

As for the settings...since getting the new amp I've had to roll off the bass a bit and turn up the treble to get the same tone as before.

Hey TRey...i looked at those cables they seem like a good price...out of interest, what are your cables? Are they Lava ones you make yourself?

Mine are a mix of the Hosa ones I recommended to you and the Lava solderless cables. The Lavas work better in tight spaces - like narrow pedals that are top mounted and have the adapter up top as well. The Hosas let your get the pedals closer together.

How do you like the Grand Orbiter? Didn't you have a Sibling for a bit? How do they compare?

I just got those Lava cables...seeing as all my pedals are top mounted jacks it makes more sense than the pancake cables.

The grand orbiter is awesome! Compared to the sibling...that's hard...if I was to talk about the phase part only the orbiter is better..better by a long way. But the sibling was a great uni vibe type pedal too, and ring mod as well at extreme settings. Then again the orbiter has a vibrator mode which is nice. Also the orbiter has a wah quality about it too...I could almost use it as a wah on solos.

Gives me some stuff to think about. I don't use my Whetstone nearly to it's full potential, just slooooooow awesomness. The small box Orbiter has my attention recently.

the smaller box has a feature that mine doesn't...it locks in the filter mode...which is pretty cool and adds another dimension to it.

This man knows.

I won't use another phaser, man. I fucking love my Whetstone. The slow phase is fucking awesome but you can do so many great things with it. I mean, I especially love the slow phase over fast riffs, phasing over longer riffs sounds so killer. Or slow phase over doomed out chords that are equally slow.

But also having the ability to hit that fucking ring mod and get weird as hell.

Whetstone life is where I want to be.

Oh, don't worry, you are cemented at the top of the list if my Whetstone ever leaves me :thumb:

updated board...got the Black Forrest today and tested my DIY skills with Laval solder less cables...only 1 mistake, but all the others were fine...very happy with it.

I've played around with where the BF should go...settled on after the QM...on its own, its very low gain, but very thick...with the QM its a boost and rounds out the sound a little and makes it even thicker!
