SDD Journal: The Wait Begins...

Post by Ghost Hip »

Day 1: I sent my trading goods to Dr. Scientist, and now I await the arrival of my Sunny Day Delay. Oh but the days of waiting won't be sunny. I informed my Memory Boy of the expected new guest on the board, hoping he'd be pleases to have another buddy to play with. His flipswitches went into square wave vibrato and his depth knob turned clockwise....... He isn't happy. He's being just as childish as my Big Muff when I plugged my Super Tri Fuzz right next to him.

With anticipation,
Jared

Cool, Jared, I love a journal!

I hope it gets all dark and weird and scary as the days go on... like, Day 35: The SDD cleared out my fridge and then said I was next... the drums... the drums... there is no escape. *scary music*

Stuff like that.

Sorry again for the long wait for it, sir, we're going to be making it today and tomorrow I'm sure! And it'll either be delivered by Xpress Post or Santa, I'm not exactly sure how that all goes down at Christmas, like if he intercepts packages and reroutes them for faster delivery or what... he's got his methods and ideas and he doesn't tell me none of them.

Talk to you soon!

I would start a similar thread for my tremolessence but I would start counting the seconds and stalking my mailman! but when it shows up I may take my marshall vibratrem outside and smash a rock on it in pure joy to have it gone from my board...

I want one with a picture of Ryan and Tanya back to back with their thumbs up and a slogan underneath like "Dr. Scientist Sunny Day Delay: Chewy Good Repeats Y'all!"

Day 2: I awoke from a dream of six of me. Everything I did the other five did... I couldn't help but wonder as I looked at the earth spinning if this was foreshadowing... But alas it was only a dream I awoke from my slumber in disappointment. My hopes after Christmas is to attain an Epiphone Wilshire, will this guitar bond with my Sunny Day Delay? I feel I should get the faded black finsish to match, but the worn cherry is oh so tempting. Lovely modulating delays of mini humbucker goodness. Yes I think this will be quite splendid.

But let the minutes turn into hours as I wait.

Optimistic,
Jared

Makes me want to trade some stuff with the good Dr. I've been wanting an SDD or Cosmichorus for some time now, but funds say otherwise.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

I stalked my mailman for almost a week once I heard my cosmichorus shipped
It's almost time to take the tremolessence plunge I think.

Day 3: as I waited in line at office max I pondered what the sunny day would look like. Sure I could put together the night time farm scene in my mind but it wasn't the same. My eyes longed to see shades of gray collide into the shape of a picture that would depict where my echoes will go... into the great fields of the country. Regardless, I sit now with my danelectro U2 through a Fender 15g practice amp. Sure the overdrive sounds nice but the lack of ambiance leaves my tone feeling alone without its clones.

Hopefully the dawn of Christmas Eve will distract my wandering mind.

Hey guys!

Jared, Ross, and Darren, I have good news and then some bad news and then a little bit of good news...

The good news is, all of your pedals are ready to ship! They're polished up, sitting pretty, ready to rock, and excited to meet you guys.

The bad news is we hosed up the timing of the shippings we had to do and now the post isn't moving until next Monday, the 28th. We're really sorry for the extra wait, we really wanted to have these in the mail for this past Monday but things just didn't quite go our way. Really sorry!

The little bit of good news is that we'd like to give you all a t-shirt to say we're sorry, so please let me know what one you like the most and what size you like the most. (Darren will now have 2 Dr. Scientist shirts and be nearly as well dressed as me and my 3.)

Sorry again for the slow shipping here, gents.

If you'd all like to see a picture of your pedals just let me know and I'll put up a picture of them here.. they're all hanging out right now, staying up late and having fun.

Jeremy, I love trading pedals so you betcha we could work something out some time!

Jon, you just send me an email when you're ready and I still think you should send me your CC for a new pcb... I promise you'll think it's worth it!

Stanimal, thanks for moving into our direction! *smile*

Hope you guys all have a great holiday and eat too much sweets!
