Because I've bled on this bass a number of times. It was the first instrument I ever picked up. I've had it for nearly 15 years and I still completely adore it.

Traded that bass for Starcaster, been wanting one since it was first announced and didn't have much use for the SB1.

How does it sound? Those basses are so pretty

The Starcaster is a lot of fun. Put a set of flats on it and had a blast at practice last week.

I need to figure out the best position/strap height for it as its a little uncomfortable for my likings. Also, have to take it back to the store, because somehow I missed the fact that with the selector in the middle position the bridge pickup isn't coming through.

It'd never take the place of my main bass for a variety of reasons (the lack of five strings being a big one), but its definintely a fun flavor to have around and getting fuzz to feedback at will is a fun trick.

I'm pretty stoked with it, not perfect, far from it but it's a playable instrument and it sounds killer.

Yep, quilt over alder.
Trans black has given me a raging erection for the last 8 years- ever since I first played one. I've been searching for a Q4 in this finish since then.

The blue/green is one of the most gorgeous finishes when you see it in person.
