Sacrilege!

They will both probably stick around since they stack well. Since getting some BAT stuff for the second time, I've been way more into stacking, which is a good thing.

Phew.
Good to hear man!

They certainly do stack better than anything else out there, that's for sure.

fucking fuck. that gif rules.

sounds like many of y'all had a pretty wild night.

pretty tame for me.

drank some Greenbush Brewery Brother Benjamin, an excellent honey infused IPA. Watched Doctor Who with wifey. Ordered pizza because I found $20 on my dog walk. Played Skryim and riffed out quietly. That's what happens when you work retail.

Y'all are a bad influence. =) Got the new Conan and *Voices of Omens* this morning, and will probably grab the two most recent Thou records from Bandcamp when I get home. It's a good weekend for new music.

My night didn't turn out as exciting as I wanted. I was going to see whores but my girlfriend got super sick so I stayed home with her. Coughing and snot everywhere. But it wasn't all bad. We watched two new rifftrax, Super Mario Bros. and Top Gun. She hadn't seen either of the movie before and was just sitting is utter confusion through both. It doesn't help she really doesn't like Tom Cruise. But rifftrax always makes movies better. If you guys like Mystery Science Theater 3000 then check out some rifftrax stuff.

Bad luck continued into this morning as when I left to go to the studio the train is down and my only other choice to get to the studio would be to walk through the rain to another train. So it looks like I am going to hang out for a few hours until they figure out what the hell is wrong with the train. Probably going to put together the 1776 pcbs I just got.

Sweet! Hope you like Voices. If you enjoy it, pretty much everything they've released (Hell Is A Door To The Sun, If You Walk Before You Crawl..., Rest) is worth buying. They've got some harder to find old releases, including their first full length feels damn near impossible to find.

Sounds like a great night to me. :idk: Speaking of VGs and music, I just finished Dark Souls the other day. That game is doom and kvlt as FUCK. And really depressing; I don't know how, but it was. If you have more patience than the average person (or are looking to develop some), it might be worth picking up; that game is an enormous test of patience. Finishing it was probably more gratifying than it should have been.

Had a talk with drummer guy last night about his song writing expectations. He's really involved, which is great, but he gets bogged down in details that are secondary to actually finishing a song. He told me he wanted to change a part to accentuate a rhythm, but it boiled down to switching a minor beat on an otherwise identical part. I actually thought he was fucking with me at first. :poke: But after I told him what I thought was what (you know, like finishing the fucking song) we seemed to level out. At least he admits that he's pretty pretentious.

Milk Stouts are one of my favorite stouts! The lactose really plays well with the dark thick flavor. Nitro milk stouts are also the tits.

I have been drinking steadily throughout the day.

I'm trying to avoid lactose as it apparently fucks with my insides. I guess I could take lactaid tablets first... (Thoughts..) They sound fucking amazing though.

I'll have to try some of those IPAs. Any for the more budget minded? $15 for 4 beers is a bit steep for me. I paid less for the Ole Raspys, but they're a bitch to get in this state for whatever reason.

Titan should be $10 for a six pack, it's one of the better IPAs you can easily find in a lot of states, and Hercules I think is like 6-8 bucks for a bomber?

But to reiterate, russian imperial stouts are the best.

Hey T-rey, several pages back I saw that you have a zap machine on your board. I just ordered one from Prymaxe today, what can I expect?

Post Sludge is just Post-Metal with elements of Sludge, which is just Post-Metal.

This sounds awesome to me. It's great to have a drummer who's involved in the details and how rhythms move through a song. So many songs are just the same beat and picking pattern through the whole song just with different notes, or they never change tempo.

There's got to be a way to actually get songs finished and then have him take recordings and add details like that in later. Best of both worlds.

The only drummers I know play standard 4/4 beats in various tempos. Never had a good or interesting drummer to play with ever. So uninspiring and bland and amatuer sounding
