the story so far is that we're in the middle of a 2 yr hiatus from touring, writing new material, hence the different pedal configurations as I try out new sounds, hence buying all these vintage fuzz pedals for some new tones I want to explore. this material is for a band, but I'll also catch moments that I'll wind up using for other projects. i play solo performances, or duo's trio's etc....we're getting together to record a 7" shortly to start promo for the new lp. I don't put together a "board" until i know the set list, although what you consider a board isn't what I would consider a board as most of my pedals are too large for a compact arrangement. i often set up at a table, with a mixer and pedals layed out before me with expression pedals etc on the floor, and i'll sit in a chair with my guitar in my lap if i'm playing guitar. i'll also put some pedals often on the stage where feedback is easily achieved and i'll get up and over there for those moments having some control at my feet or additional pedals. and...today I got some new pedals and was trying to get a better grasp on what tones these have. I set these up, take a pic to share that is somewhat organized, and then make a semi-circle around me, I also record to tape so I can get a closer listen to what's what. the band is two drummers, a bassist, and myself. sometimes.
