I need to unlock the power of the Fat Fuzz. Hopefully I can do more with it than just entertain myself.

more of a sound addiction. i've got lots of sounds in my head and these pedals help to get them on tape.

This is really nice, but is it just me or the picture or is the starlight dlx bigger than the other subdecay dlx pedals?

jesus christ. I just gave myself a fucking heart attack. I'm still shaking. I am NOT using this setup again until I do it more intelligently. I pushed/twisted something I shouldn't have and feedback/gong like I've never heard just exploded through the amp. never again, at least not through an amp, and not without a bunch of limiters/compressors.

I'll leave the explode in the recording for kicks. the kind of sound that makes you afterwards not want to emit a single decibel for at least a couple days, in utter fear of your neighbor's wrath

Hollow earth, micro pog, superego, anti-nautilus(?)......damn. You got any clips of these beauties together?
Even better, do you have any recording projects in the works?

in the works, ehhh sort of. with the band yes, but most of our stuff isn't ready. this track is sort of close to complete, at least
http://dronecloud.org/private/dr.s/dr_s_newsong.mp3

as for solo stuff, lots of unfinished crap, nothing concrete in years. played on the radio recently, sounded like this
http://nearworlds.org/media/2013_aug5.mp3

other recent thing
http://dronecloud.org/media/cloudscapes ... d_soil.mp3

less recent
http://nearworlds.org/media/mar4.mp3

and an accumulation of random here
http://dronecloud.org/media.htm

okay, clip of gong through effects, sometimes bowed, sometimes "gonged" lightly but repeatedly, or just tapped. here is the clip *without* the screetching death sound of pain at the end

http://dronecloud.org/stuff/killgong.mp3

now, here is the same clip but with an extra ten seconds at the end. turn your volume down at 5:10
I AM NOT FUCKING KIDDING
seriously, it sounds like the end of the world
http://dronecloud.org/stuff/killgong_died.mp3

That was fucking fantastic.

thats some serious financial investment there! very nice!
it looks like you pull apart and put together pedal setups very very often (judging from the number and frequency of your pictures here haha). i could never do that. for gigs and recording i'm still using pretty much the same pedalboard i put together almost a year ago. ive gotten very acquainted with the settings and sounds i can get from it but new combinations still surprise me sometimes!

this looks like it would sound awesome. do you have a link to your music/band?

Part of what I like about confining myself to a board is that the limitations for more out of my creativity. Having more options can also get overwhelming. I personally need to find a balance between having multiple options with large boards and yet always feeling like I'm one or two pedals short so I have to find another way to get the sound I hear in my head.

I think it's been since June that I had pedals on a board. Prepared this to make it easier to carry shit to a show saturday. Everything I need for two bands, right here.

I agree. The trick is in finding the right balance.
