I took this selfie style prior to having some windbars added in. I need to get some touch up done too.



I look at this tattoo and see 3 chapters of my life. I had the outline done like 8 years ago and the color in the waves done about 7 years ago (right around the time I met my wife). The color in the Koi was done literally over this past summer. A former GF who I was with for like five years got me the outline for my birthday. Our relationship dissolved so I was never in a huge hurry to finish it. I finally mustered the courage and the funds to get it finished.

I've got more but nothing really worthy of posting.

Ever had an idea for a tattoo and then realize that 5 million other people thought of that before you did?

I got my first tattoo in like 1994. It's the Soundgarden Badmotorfinger design, the middle is a shadow outline of a 'Jesus Christ Pose' that I designed on my right shoulder. At the time I thought this was pretty fucking cool (SG for lyfe). About 5 years later I saw the same design on a temporary tattoo in a fucking vending machine. I then saw SG at the Gorge a couple of years ago and probably 1/3 of the bros had the same tattoo (and mine was the most ghetto). Hindsight...

20 years later and I'm working on a completely original design for the dreaded underarm/bicep area.
