I don't see any reason to be upset that a couple got flipped. To me, it's more upsetting to think of them sitting on people's shelves not being used when there are people here that want one and were unable to get one for whatever reason. I was considering going broke on an old vinyl cosmi I found on kijiji near me when the thread popped up, so I went broke on this guy instead, and I'm so grateful that I had just enough money at the time to get one. I also totally understand the attachment to it's awesomeness that would lead someone to hang onto it even though it's not necessarily in heavy use.
The point is, it's an awesome pedal, made by awesome people for awesome people. If someone else would make more/better use of it then spread the love

I would be very upset to see one pop up on ebay or somewhere else at ridiculous prices because that's totally against the spirit that created the pedal.
Personally, it nails the delay sound I was after so close to perfectly that I couldn't consider flipping it, but I feel bad for not using it enough, because I don't use delay to it's fullest. I will learn...
Thanks ryan/excane/jwar for making such a great pedal for us

Not upset exactly. Just disappointed. I know Ryan doesn't take offense or anything and honestly, neither do I. I just figured these would be like trophies for people. We did this run specifically for ILF and ILF only. I mean, Ryan could have done one for any other site and probably sold a hell of a lot more, but he loves you guys!!!
That being said, it's obviously your pedal to do with what you want.
I'm so proud to have been part of this!

I'd rather keep in on my shelf, where it reminds me everyday that there are some cool dudes on this forum, who can contribute to make something beautiful, than giving it to someone who can't understand the value of this piece of art!

The giveaway will be very soon, I finally emailed Tommy the pic and info and I betcha there'll be a new giveaway thread going up this weekend. G'luck guys, I really hope one of you dudes who would have liked one of these wins it!
When you make something that you worked hard on it's hard to see somebody dismiss it as if it's not good enough etc.. it takes a thick skin to get over that and just disregard it. But you gotta, cause that's just the nature of the world. And it's also the nature of guitar pedals to try lots of them and see what works with your rig and earballs.. and you guys know how vastly different all the world's gear sounds and how some amps and guitars and pedals may or may not get along, there's just a million variables involved that are unpredictable and purely subjective. So naw, I don't mind if you sell your pedals and I thank you for giving them a shot in the first place!
I can relate to collecting too.. I love collecting pedals. And I agree that maybe they should be being used by people making music but I love them and it's my hobby and I respect and appreciate them all and keep them safe for posterity. And I agree that it rules when somebody gets a chance at a pedal they wanted but didn't get, like in the BST, as long as the flip is fair, that's awesome and happiness is spread.
So thanks again guys!

I think mine was the only one I've seen in the B/S/T so far. I loved it but I didn't need it. I only lost a couple of bucks on the flip and I think it found a better home with this collection:

Re: The I Love Fuzz Day Delay Oh Yeah!
Update to my post: Using this pedal full-time for doomy slow parts+spidery high leads and it owns. throw some slow deep modulation on top
This is the first delay pedal I've purchased and I never thought I'd find one I want to shoehorn into parts. But it took me around 12 years of playing to get something wilder than a dirt pedal (militant touch&go nerd for a while)
how i know it's good: even the drummer likes it!

Just got a first mix of a song of our upcoming record. ILFDD sounds so eerie on it. It makes me very happy.

Wow, I had no idea a builder would see it that way. Usually I'm a very sensitive person and understand the feelings of others well, but I honestly didn't see it that way. You've always been one of the most open, understanding and communicative builders out there today. You involve yourself with the community and obviously have an attachment to it. That's a fantastically rare and wonderful thing, but sometimes it's misunderstood or simply not recognized. I guess I've been used to seeing builders with a lot of prowess and confidence (not suggesting the more sensitive builders lack confidence) in their work, sometimes to the point of being coarse.
Anyway, most of the pedals I've bought I've kept. I'm not a flipper—although I find it confusing that someone will buy a pedal and two weeks later sell it on again, I still want to respect people's choices—but I have sold a few things, and there are only one or two pieces that I regret, and one is the Cosmichorus V2. I sold it because V3 came out and I wanted it, but by the time I had sold my V2, I decided to spend the money on something else that cropped up. So then I was left with no chorus, and that made me sad. But there was always something else appearing that I thought would be more... 'fun' than V3. It's weird because I know I'd love V3 and would use it all the time, but because I've owned V2 already, buying the next version just isn't as much fun as it could be. That's why I shouldn't have sold my V2. I was still in love and wasn't ready to change.
Sorry for the emotional ramble.
