Awesome! DC is pretty much my favorite city in the world. So much to do there, so much great history, and the food scene has really taken off in the past few years.

Skyping the department director tomorrow, and skyping my potential direct superior(who I talked to on the phone today) thursday. I don't want to get my hopes up, but I might have a new job by the end of the week.

they finally got a PodXT driver that works with OS Mountain Lion, so i now have a USB interface that i've already paid for with a ton of customized amp settings i spent literally months tweaking to sound good to my ears. and that means i can record stuff guitar->board->looper->Pod as interface->GarageBand. here comes the Zayante Sand Formztion home studio :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

I think suffering is almost always pointless. You have to work mentally to give it meaning and that's work you could be putting into something positive instead. In that sense it's definitely masochistic.

You guys are probably right. It started to lose its "oomph" as soon as I wrote it out.

We all have stupid feels sometimes. I, for example, often wish to implode my entire life and turn into a nihilistic life-sucking zombie. We just have to recognise that while part of us wants this, if we feed that urge it's gonna suck in a holistic sense.

EDIT: I should also say that this part of you doesn't necessarily need to be eliminated under the pretense of self improvement, just some acceptance is needed on your part. Sounds like you're already there anyways.

Anytime. I'm glad I have you guys, getting some perspective from someone removed from your situation really helps. I have trouble talking about this stuff with friends (even though they go through similar shit) and I could never do it with family.
