There was someone on TB that did this I think. Put a fancy topped maple body on it, made it look pretty classy.

the thing about the Bo Diddley is that it's wide enough to stay put. with something as long and narrow as the Grabber mod, it's going to roll along the axis of length because there isn't enough friction from the body on your tummy to balance the mass. a Steinberger gets away with it because it's short and lightweight.
