Wow, I totally misjudged ILF. I figured throwing classic Fender appointments on a pointy Gibson shape would be looked down upon, severely!

Fenders are great guitars, why mix them with the pure ugliness of a gibson?

Probably so people will drop 3k on 'em because there is nothing else like it, although I agree it's pretty hideous. I'm not a fan of the V necessarily but I love some Gibsons, pure ugliness is not something I associate with them in general. As for Fenders, the offsets are the shit, but I can leave the rest for sure. My first guitar was an SG though, maybe I'm biased.

It's too bad these things cost $3000, that's a 0 too many, or I'd pick one up. Would likely get rid of that pickguard and throw some kind of HB in the neck. Definitely one of those 'that can never work, but it does' things.

It's actually pretty neat with a color finish but that sunburst one is hideous, it's like stumbling across a mass grave.

I am biased against sunburst in most cases though.
