Their coolness overwhelms me.
I especially love the ones that have been doing that, then they finally decide the wanna get into effects and want us to tell them what kind of OD, fuzz, chorus etc. they should get!

I think the other forums get that as well there, but yes, it bothers me to a level I really shouldn't admit to when someone does that "fx are fer fags!" bit. Yes, you think that somehow one can have a PURE tone coming from magnetic signals, and therefore completely misunderstand the entire technology behind an ELECTRIC bass guitar. But:

Jaco only needed 4 strings
big cabs are for the '70s
flatwounds are for old people
etc.

In short, people are morons.

Yes. But what has ALWAYS pissed me off about that that shit in FX is that the FX modz don't take the hard line on that shit, it's "oh well, boys 'll be boys" crap. Go read JT's "rule"/"threat" on mocking 7+ stringers...
