I totally understand this point too - and I’m not trying to shame anyone for wanting to return to normal. I’m just burned out, no one on my team has taken a vacation in a year, we all got exposed to +COVID patients multiple times, we’ve been in homeless shelters and long term care facilities and half of us are just… done and the other half are trying go back to normal. I’m thankful I work with THE BEST people and we’ve all supported each other through this.

Oh yeah didn't take it like an attack no sweat, just kinda explaining. Sounds like you've had a really hard year take care of yourself!

I’m just being a real salty pickle lately. We’ve been under lockdown in some form since October in Toronto and I think people are ready to snap. I stood in line outside for 30 minutes to buy a tube of caulking the other day and you see pics everywhere else of life returning to normal…..
I mean not EVERYWHERE else but you know what I mean

VERY MUCH.
I have been lucky to crank the amp sometime during November, but it feels like ages ago anyway.

Very much this! I bought my Peavey Butcher last year and haven’t moved the volume past “1” this whole time

But in New Orleans, local music has been coming back by bits. Seen a couple things recently, nearly full festival schedule starting up soon and into the fall. Lots of push to get tourists coming through again.
in the more-or-less DC area: Bob Mould at the 9:30 9/18, Flaming Lips at the Anthem 11/16, possibly Jackson Browne in Charleston WV 8/6 or at the Merriweather in Maryland on 8/10. yeah, i'm a bit eclectic. i've been fully vaccinated since mid-March, and the DC area is high on the percent-of-residents-vaccinated scale.

FIFTY YEARS OF SCARING THE CHILDREN 1970-2020--and i'm not done yet
Saw George Clanton last night. I guess I'm old or something? (yes) I like his music but for some reason it felt like he was doing karoake with his own songs...the kids sure seemed to like it though.
Black Midi on Saturday. That show is more my speed.
