Rigged up a small adapter board to get a forumite's old MXR MicroChorus working without buying a Reticon chip. It's not super pretty and was a budget/parts on hand build. Sounds great though!

Here's my Supersonic Fuzz Fun, the Fuzzdog take on a DBA pedal.

I opted for a OSC potentiometer instead of the gate/osc switch and that was a solid decision. There are so many cool sounds on the turn of that OSC knob, from chanting monks to spaceships taking off. Put a volume pedal (and a delay) after it and get lost just using the volume on your guitar without even playing anything. My friend liked it so much, when trying it out, that I didn't get it back ...
So, no gut shots or a pic with knobs.

That one looks - and probably sounds - absolutely brutal.

This here is the second Kurt Ballou business card PCB I had. Made the first one a year and a half ago, this one has the response mod though. I like how it reduces high end/noise and also tightens the bass as it's turned down, while the loudness (and gain) knob can bring back some edge. The big switch is a diode selector of course; Ge/BAT46--none--red LED. The first one has the most distinct flavour, the latter two are very similar unless the gain is cranked.

Some hiccups with this build.. SPST footswitch actuator broke in some weird way and shot out of the threaded tube like a Lego cannon, never seen such a thing. Made sure to jiggle and test the next one before installing, from now on I will do that with everything. Even the initial dual C1k pot was bad and had to be replaced. But I then got the chance to switch the wiring, so lugs 1-2 go through the 47r (R6) to the electrolytic (C5), and 3 goes to the other end. Sweep goes the right way now, and most importantly works.

Otherwise this turned into a kind of "deluxe" build with relay bypass (to be honest a regular 3PDT wouldn't fit), fancy caps and the relatively expensive Thomson op-amps. I ordered them specifically for this as I liked LM1458s in the previous one, although when auditioning chips back then the differences were subtle. But worth experimenting with. The paintjob is a little more layered but still based on the one I did before, logo-wise. First time using stamps for the knob designations, selected to correspond with Roman numerals (volume, intensity, loudness, xain).

I've just finish this one ! A 16-samples stereo unit. Mainly to play background samples for my tracks (such as cymbals), I'm having fun with some drums sample at the moment so I might add cv control and a classic ltc1799 for clock speed.

That's very cool, indeed!

Now, *cough*, let me present EVA, Deadend's take on the Gemini IV. I opted for a JJ enclosure and changed the layout (knobs, switch) a bit. Has currently a Russian P416A and a Tesla 103NU71 on the GE side.

Took a break from my tube amp build (OK, OK.... I'm waiting on parts, like the rest of the planet). This is the validation build of the DEFX Shard, otherwise known as the Blackout Effectors Crystal Dagger. I had to fudge this one to work, since this dufuss missed a resistor on the trace. I have it soldered to the backside. We should have the new boards in a few weeks.

I'm quite pleased with the knobs. They were hang-arounds, but didn't have the dot originally. I drilled a hole with a centering bit, and then dropped in a drop of nail polish. As the polish dried, it ran into the hole, and then popped open in the center giving a neat effect. Totally planned (SURE! LOL!)

This is one of mine that's actually for personal use. Needed a nice, bright, pretty traditional Rangemaster for a project so I upcycled an old enclosure for one:

Nice one ^^ Dr Balls.

This is Fuzzdog's Recurring Nightmare PCB, which is a DBA Echo Dream 2, if I'm not mistaken.
Amazing sounds, lovely pushing of the PT2399 over the edge and wobbly modulated goodness in spades.
