Re: Let's see your AMP!

I lusted after V4s for years and finally got one a while ago. Amazing. 6505+ is a recent buy. I keep selling and buying 5150s cause I hate them and then miss them. 'tis life.
Sorry for the low quality pics.

Thanks WORMDIRT! it's a 70's L410 4x10 with alnico Eminence speakers. I had a 1x12 Vboutique Vcab, sold it to buy this one and had $60 left. Fantastic move IMO

V4 with a 6505 or 5150 is one of my absolute favorite stereo rigs. This is so sick

Re: Let's see your AMP!
everyone loves and hates 5150s. they are super fucking hot rodded plexis/jcms. that's a hard type of amp to tame.

The relatively tame V4 with the gained out 6505+ under it is so great. I keep playing converge riffs full volume and pissing my wife off.BoatRich wrote:V4 with a 6505 or 5150 is one of my absolute favorite stereo rigs. This is so sick
Yeah this is one of the few amps I've played that will let you actually dial in way too much gain. I think I love 5150s and hate how most guitarist dial them in.waltdogg wrote:everyone loves and hates 5150s. they are super fucking hot rodded plexis/jcms. that's a hard type of amp to tame.

Ampeg SS-140C with matching cabinet. The OR15 is just collecting dust unfortunately.

The new rig! 69 Sceptre through an original staggered 412 with the old transducers and the newly aquired Emperor loaded with 2 Jensen 10"s and 2 Heppner organ 15"s. The low wattage hinders a little but the 2 cabs makes it up a little in the volume dept.
I love it, my neighbors hate me!

Re: Let's see your AMP!
My first post here on ILF! This is my amp. It’s from Clara Amplification, locally made here in Calgary, Alberta. It’s a Princeton Reverb circuit 2x10 (one Eminence Ragin’ Cajun and one Redcoat Ramrod). Real spring reverb tank, sweet vibrato, great tone! I haven’t owned it for very long, but I love it! It’s super cool being able to text the dude who built it and chat directly about the amp. His name is Keith and he seems like a rad guy! Clara has a small-ish cult following, and this is the first Clara amp I’ve played! It was built in 2007 and was the only 2x10 version he built (he still does 1x12 versions). I was out checking out pedals, and saw it in the store, played it and fell in love. I was totally not planning to buy a new amp, but I knew it was too good to pass up. That sounds like a great amp, I rocked a Ramrod and Ragin Cajun 2x10 for a while and it was a beast.

i dont think i ever posted this...but i've had this now for about 3-4 months...and I love it. Its basically all I use at home.
Its a Toetags Tweed Deluxe with a Weber blue dog speaker...about 15w...and its glorious! pairs up perfectly with fuzz and anything i throw at it.
