Talk me about the Cleaness!

Post by gae86 »

Hi guys!
I'm new here. I've always been interested in dr scientist pedals, but actually never owned one.
I was looking a t the cleaness as my next purchase. My amp is a DRRI and as you know it suffer from a lack of mid. My thought was to use the cleaness as an eq to add some mid and just a touch of grit, and to keep at unity gain always on. An then use all my dirts when needed.

What do you think? Is this the pedal for me?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the Cleaness will do what your are looking for. I am the same way but I am using a Fuzzhugger Arc Flash as my always on light gain pedal.

Hooray! My thread was helpful! Haha.

I basically just use my Cleanness as a solo boost pedal now, but it will definitely do what you're looking for. It's a really transparent pedal, so you could definitely make it sound like your amp, just with more mids, if you wanted to. Seems like the Cleanness is right up your alley. :thumb:

Sorry for my lateness getting into this thread, I haven't been around as much the last few days.

The situation you describe in your original post is basically exactly why I made the Cleanness, that's exactly how I imagine it being used. I'm a clean channel kinda guy and I wanted a pedal that could sort out eq issues, gain issues, make things louder or quieter, so I could keep things consistent with a single clean channel.

My highly biased opinion is that the Cleanness would work great for you! *smile*

Whereabouts are you located? Maybe we can track down a store near you with one in stock that you could try...
