Got a surprise gig tomorrow afternoon with a friend. It's been far too long since I've played a show.

Well, we were told we played 2-5. Turned out we played 5-8. Good time, though. Went bowling before we played, drank several drinks, made people on the patio happy. It feels good to play again.

Was at an all-day noise-a-mathon yesterday. 'Twas great fun.

Also I accidentally got a place to live in Oslo starting the week after next. A pretty amazing deal. Still afraid something will happen to jinx it, as it's way too good to be real, but we just straigthened out the deal, so looks like this is happening.

Finally making good headway on picking technique that doesn't fuck with my arm and give me pain. All it took was countless hours of scouring youtube and scrutinizing everyone's right hand technique. Plus all the Troy Grady videos that specifically show what the right hand is doing in slow motion was a HUGE help. I gotta get my practices in because I'm going to be on vacation with the family for two and a half weeks soon!!!! After that I have about 10 days before returning to work (I have a LOT of vacation time to use ) so I don't have to work for a WHOLE MONTH, starting June 20th.

Finally making good headway on picking technique that doesn't fuck with my arm and give me pain.

What helped me a lot to avoid aching arms while playing guitar: I switched the guitar from my right lap to the left (I'm right-handed) when sitting. It feels so much more natural and it didn't really hurt anymore ever since then.

Everything's cleaned up and organized after our move into a brand new apartment last week. My commute is now a 10 minute walk.

VACATION TIME! I'm tired as shit, but finally there's nothing I have to do. No responsibilities!

Even better, I went to look at the previously mentioned appartment today, and it is great and I'm moving in wednesday. Just got the offer a week ago, so I'm still processing the awesomeness. My roomie makes robots, and is at work most of the time, which means that I finally am in a position were I can do whatever I want when I want. Also, my roomie makes robots, how fucking cool is that?

Relaxing evening off. Got a haircut. Finished another music review. Made/ate some food. Bought some bright orange sunglasses. Now bar hopping the different patios down the street and my buddies restarted their open mic on Tuesday so I'll go to that in a few hours.
