Motherfuckers are tripping. 500 bucks my sack! I can still order one!!!
I do want that damn stereo bitcrusher though. UGH! If I'm a good boy this year, maybe I can get it.

They're pretty different imo, though the names suggest more overlap than actually exists. The melusine is very specifically a turntable simulator, and does that very well. The warped vinyl can sort of do that but in a more extreme rather than authentic sense. I use and enjoy both, so it's not a matter of better/worse

I love the DX to bits. I probably use it too much. 4 second pingpong loop? Fuck. Yes.
Unfortunately, I haven't tried any of the previous models.

Do you use the reverse/forward loop s a lot? and the full stop?
What is most interesting to me is the fade out option. But I would rather have a feedback option like on a regular delay pedal instead of a fade out.
But I understand that is not the scope of the pedal. Because it is used more for short glitching loops.

Re: HEXE
After a 4 month wait I was notified that my Revolver DX is ready to ship. Already in New York, might be here in a few days. The 4 second loop and the Ping Pong mode were the things that pushed me to order one, after lusting over the Revolver II for years but never wanting to pay for it. Sucks that the currency conversion cost me another $40 USD since I was added to the wait list but it really doesn't matter in the bigger picture. This pedal could be the killer looping device I have been desiring for years. Should work well with my current DL4 trinity setup.

I'd say a revolver and three DL4s is all the looping anyone woould need.

Yes they can work well together. Although they are really different. The Hexe is used mostly as a short random glitch looper. The Rev 2 has only 1 second of loop time, the new one 4 seconds. But I am not sure if you need 4 seconds because if you want long loops you might want to use another looper. I sometimes use my Rev 2 as a ring modulator as shown in this video. I combined it with an in sync delay. The middle part has some pitch shifting from another device going and then back to the REv 2 again.

I don't agree. I have my DX before my looper and they only complement each other. I don't feel like they're overlapping. But this could just be us playing different kind of music. For soundscaping, it's an amazing combination.
Great video, btw! I really like running my DX like that as well. Very pleasing and fun to play.

edit: actually, here's a short clip of the DX in pingpong mode+a looper (the Digital Water in the bottom left corner)

Re: HEXE
Thanks for the video. Nice!
Thanks for the comment! I also do soundscaping (amongst others). Basically you are saying the same as I am saying. They can complement each other because they are different. The Rev 2 more for shorter random loops and other looping devices for longer loops. In this audio clip below I use the Hexe again in another way, as a low drone generator. The hexe kicking in at around 2:12
(the embedding on this forum doesn't work as expected like with YT embedding, so I am not sure if you can hear it?)

For the record, I am being credited with Sitarman's quote, and I don't agree. There is a lot to do with 4 seconds, plus the manipulation that is available on the DX.
Edit: I don't think this is an actual argument though. Also, nice videos guys, good creative uses.
