The PDF 2 doesn't have the gain toggle? Someone brief me on the differences (sans the hideous font) again?

Stone deaf wrote:The PDF-2...What’s their to say other than its the successor to our very popular PDF-1, with reduced noise floor, adjustable gain knob and dual foot-switch for clean and dirty channels what is there not to love.

I like the idea of footswitchable gain, so in a smaller setup it does multiple thangs

Ah ok. I never noticed a noise floor on the old one, but that's in a live environment.

I got a PDF-2 a couple of weeks ago. Foot switchable gain with adjustment seems to be the biggest change (never played with a PDF-1 so can't comment on the noise floor improvement).

I really dig it. Running PDF-2 after an Elements and Pharaoh.

Well duh. Pharaoh and PDF-2 pretty much covers the first three albums to my ears.

I have not actually. I'll give it a try. Tips in terms of settings, placement in the chain, stacking with a particular style of dirt peddle...?

Possibly an annoying answer but I really think it stacks incredibly with everything. Pick your favourite dirt pedals and try stuff out with the PDF-1, it's probably going to sound good! Personally the setting I use most is clean, lots of height, low miss boost. Makes things so fat.
