thats good start. throw a wolf computer in there to make sure it is a slow painful oscillating death...
I'm the Anti-Christ. And you can be sure to tell the angels in Heaven that you've never seen evil so singularly personified as you did in the face of the man who killed you
after a couple of posts I guess I am going to stay. So here's the introduction:
My name is Mick, I live in Cologne, Germany. I am 30 yrs old and play guitar for 11yrs. I've played in a postrock band for about 5 years: axiom:tram - it's now long gone. After that I had a folkish duo: baby, you can follow me down - this is defunct for 2 years. Lately I've tried to fuse members of both bands together. First we created the shortlived and never graced with a myspace-page Goldberg Machine. This didn't go too well. We were all going for different directions. Our drummer was an Improv/FreeJazz veteran, the bassist wanted to go into some droney dark ambient stuff and the other guitarist tried to introduce some old-fashioned psychedelic. I tried to put in some Devo and other artsy Punkrock. Then we called it quits due to time problems. Now the problems have been resolved and we're back together (minus the drummer) and miraculously have found common ground in Noise/Drone. I've decided to call this new project Gewöll. I'll post some stuff as soon as there are recordings. I don't really care much for recording, but since my new amp has a recording out maybe I'll also start to do some shit solo.
My non musical life revolves around a local newspaper I work for (hey jrspacecadet!), my wife and daughter, books and the musical life.
My musical preferences read like a best of anything. Right now I'm really into drone, favourites being: Yellow Swans, Anla Courtis, Starving Weirdos, Fennesz, Rafael Toral, Oren Ambarchi. All-time inspirational: Keith Rowe, Fred Frith, Derek Bailey (not necessarily my favourite musicians to listen to for fun, but dude, checking those guys out really widens your mind!)
Hey Phantasm! Glad you've decided to join us!
I spent quite a bit of time in and around Cologne a couple of years ago and I can't wait to go back! I'm glad that you're here, so I'll have someone to pester about life and music in Germany while I save up money to return to my favourite European country!!
I'm gonna go listen to your music now.
Thank you for the enthusiasm! Pester at will. And if you need a place to crash: be nice to me and we'll work something out! How did you like the music? Solo efforts can be found here. I'm also using my first ILF pedal on the solo stuff: the Mini Wolf CPU. I love it.
I'm Clyde. I live in Southern California. I've been married for almost 9 years and we've got two kids. I started off playing the acoustic guitar, during guitar lessons (which I started 5 years after I started playing), I ended up buying an electric guitar and an amp. For many years I played without effects (except for the on-board solid state ones), and last year when I bought a Class A tube amp, I started exploring effects. It's been a lot of fun, and I developed a new hobby in electronics.
Hi. My name is Jacob, I'm 17 and I've been playing the guitar for about 8 years now. I also just started playing the drums like 3 months ago. I came here because Harmony Central 2.0 turned out to be the greatest failure ever, and I found it too difficult to navigate the new site, so hopefully this can be my new place to meet some cool people and talk about gear.
I'm planning to order a Matamp Gt1 mid-June. I also will be ordering some fuzzes next week (hopefully). I want to order a FuzzHugger Great Wall Dlx, a Russian Green Muff, and a Stomp UnderFoot GRM fuzz.
I love The Black Keys, and everything that's blues/garage rock/stoner/doom/classic rock.
Allright, here goes. I'll try to keep it short even though I'm usually very good at it. I'm Sean, 22years old from Sweden. And I'll be honest. The main reason I registered was/is my GAS for a murderberator! Anyway, I'm in two bands. A simple, right-in-your-face aggressive hardcore-punk band (myspace.com/highhopeshc) were I, even though it's not that punk, use a four pedal pt-mini along with the love of my life, my Ibanez AR250. Also in another experimental band (no link) were I try to use "as many pedals as possible" even though I really don't have to! Last concert I went to was Khoma, last night. Last record I ordered (yep, I still buy records, cd's that is, don't have a lp-player) was "Heliocentric" by The Ocean. Last move I watched was "Garden State". Last thing I thought of typing on here was that I'm also on twitter, but decided I shouldn't meniton that since I doesn't matter anyway. Last View is the name of the metalcore-band that rehearses in the room next to us.

I'm Rob and I'm from London, UK. After a couple of years playing bass I've finally had enough and decided to get back to the guitar. I stumbled across this forum whilst resarching Dr Scientist stuff and it looked like an ideal place to chat about what was decent out there. I've been selling everything I own to build up a dream pedal board and so far have got a Diamond Memory Lane 2. Next on the list is a Miniberator, Keeley Compressor, empress tremolo, and fulltone fat boost although Im open to any alternatives recommended by the forum. Fuzz wise Im not sure what to get. A friend swears by the Fulltone OCD but I'm sure there's something out there more suited to me! Music wise I'm into indie rock and a lot of artier bands like Dirty Projectors. By day I work in the HR department of a large Arts university and by night I run a boutique record label called Trash Aesthetics. Cheers, Rob x
Hi. I am new to this site. I primarily do home recording now aside from my "day job", but played out live quite a bit in the '80s and '90s in working cover bands and a couple of all-original bands, one of which was recently signed to Eonian Records, a band called Felony. I have been living in Hollywood, FL (between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami) since 2000 with my wife. I dig the pedals and always have and am happy to be here.
