Or that oversimplifying any supposition of a person's ideology will inevitably cause problems.

Maybe they just got tired of evil asian companies like Boss and Ibanez.

Re: Pedalboards of the Stars ~ Super Awesome ILF Version
I have to wonder, in the least ILF way possible, do they REALLY need a them pedals? I've seen Godspeed live a few times over the years and I always felt their sound was more in their playing techniques than in pedals. I'm fairly certain you could give them a few choice Boss pedals and it'll sound like Godspeed. Those pedals just seem a bit excessive for their palette of sound.

Well, Boss pedals are exactly what they used for all their albums when they were trve post-rock.chutneyfarmer wrote:I have to wonder, in the least ILF way possible, do they REALLY need a them pedals? I too find all the crap they use these days a little bit excessive , but who cares, they deliver.
The 1K delay sounded like a boss to me when I saw them the last time, that's the beauty of a stage and like 12 more instruments doing the wall-of-sound thing.

Feel like the newer, heavier stuff definitely relies more on effects.
Also feel like as someone who doesnt really dig capitalism either I'd much rather support small independent builders than huge corporations where possible.

That could be valid back in the 00s when they were more hippies and not playing in festivals and that stuff.
I know there wasn't the same amount of builders we have know, but they could just build their own shit or use GPL licensed software in a Lemote Yeeloong.

I bet they're given lots of stuff. I'm not even stressing about all the ethics or what not, I'm just confused how they move around
