So, I found a Frazz Dazzler on my local Craigslist the other day, and got a great deal on it, so I picked it up. This thing is tons of fun, and I'm loving it so far. I ended up writing and recording a song based off of inspiration I got from it, so feel free to check out my Frazz Dazzler in the context of a song (minus vocals). The lead guitar part throughout the entire song is the Frazz Dazzler running into a Diamond Compressor, and then into a Dr. Scientist The Cleanness. Let me know what you think, and let's discuss the wonders of all that is Frazz Dazzling.

Thanks a lot, Ryan! As for having a CD out, I'm mainly just recording my own songs for fun right now. I haven't even found a band down here that would play my songs to support a CD if I tried to make one anyway, so I'm just having fun writing songs in my spare time, and then playing other people's music in shows. On the plus side though, one of my bands (http://www.myspace.com/katiekerkhover) listened to this song, and she said she liked it, and thought we could work with it, so maybe I just need to start pitching all of my songs to the bands I'm already in haha.

As for my recording set up, I'm just using an M-Box 2 pro into ProTools. The drums were recorded with EZDrummer, and I used my synth to play the drum parts, then I just quantized the hell out of them haha. The bass was just me recording my Warwick Corvette 5 string into one of the DI settings on Garageband. Then there are just a bunch of guitar tracks where I used combinations of my Telemaster, my Epiphone Riviera, and my PRS Custom 22 into a bunch of pedals (Paul C. Timmy, Cleanness, Frazz Dazzler, Diamond Comp, Frantone Cream Puff, Analogman ARDX20, Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso, BYOC TS808 clone, etc.), and those always went into my Star Nova on the clean channel, and then that was miked with an SM57.

No problem! The MBox is a lot of fun. I got it out of necessity when I started the recording program at my school, but it's grown on me. I wish it had more ins and outs, but if you're just tracking one instrument at a time (but not drums) it's just fine normally.
