Really cool video, Jared! You do great demos!

One little thing I disagree with though is saying that the Frazz isn't meant to work alone, it's meant to work with an overdrive pedal or already distorted amp... that's actually not how I envision or use the pedal. I designed it to be a distortion pedal used with a clean amp and I think that's how it sounds and performs best. (With the mix set all the wet) I'm just not a stacking kinda guy I guess! I like your stacking with it though, sounds cool for sure! Especially how you had a gritty tone set up and then mixed back to it from the Frazz sound.. that's a cool way to use. So I shouldn't say I disagree, just that I use it differently. I like how you use it too!

The Frazz is a truly unique fuzz, and I think your demo does the device proud.

I also like to play the Frazz through a clean amp, with the gain all the way up - but I recently tried mixing in my Clari(not) for some spaced out warble and got some really cool, though seasick, results.

The mix knob is extremely intriguing and may be what sets the Frazz apart, to my way of thinking.

I've only owned mine a short time, though it's risen to the top of my hit parade.

Anyhoo, thanks as always for the demos: very fun and instructive.

Yes I'll have to agree with the good doctor, I never really saw it as a foundation fuzz, I like it best alone on the clean channel of my amp.
Though from time to time I'll dial back the mix near 50%, crank the sizzle to um...add some sizzle to the modern channel on my mesa.

Though I can see why PP would want to use it that way, I guess it just boils down to your style.

You said it, Jon, different playing styles for sure and they're all cool! For me, a clean channel and a Frazz with the gain all the way up and I'm in distortion-heaven, that's it for me! *smile*

Fun and instructive demo for sure, you said it, Steve! Pretty nice looking nails this time around too, Jared!

Allow me to say that I haven't even watched the video yet, and I'm cracking up at the title.

Alright, time to watch the video now!

Cool demo! I really need to pick up a Frazz Dazzler someday. First thing is first though. Must concentrate on getting a SDD!

When I play it on a clean amp setting there's no high end and the sizzle knob is useless before 3 o clock unless I want a uber blanket over my amp fuzz. And the blend knob just makes it quieter than my clean bypass. I can definitely see a use for it on a clean amp if you just want wall of fuzz but I personally find the sizzle and blend knobs way more useful if its through an overdriven amp.

I'm going to upload a video just to be clear on what i mean.

You know, B-man had said to me awhile ago that he thought something might be wrong with his Frazz's output and maybe that's the case... Frazzes are really loud. They can go quieter than the bypassed level with the volume low but ordinarily they're really loud.

And I love that tone with the sizzle knob really low.. crank up the volume for perfect stoner/sludge/doom tone!

Let's investigate this volume issue though, 'cause that doesn't sound right to me...

Yeah Blur's Frazz to me just hits unity a little before cranking it. Video is being uploaded to youtube now. I can definitely see if it had more volume that the highs would come through more.

So with the mix set all the way wet, all the way up, unity is with the volume knob nearly maxed? Unity in that situation should be with the volume at around 9'oclock... really loud pedal ordinarily. B-man blew his output! You guys should get that pedal back to me for a tune up!

Alright here's a video. Pretty sure the output is blown like you said, but just to be sure.

Yeah, it did that to me for a while, but corrected itself after a couple days.. We'll have to investigate this!
