I ROVE FUZZ DAZZLER REVIEW EXTRAVAGANZA

Alright alright alright alright....so....i got the pedal satyrday. Customs hoarded my shit like a mug dude. Ridic. Anyway before i get down to brass tacks (what the fuck does that really mean?) i really wanted to say thank you SO much to the crew at fuzzhugger and dr. scientist for making this happen. I was in the middle of an all time fucking downer when i won this and it may seem trivial to some but this little turn of events really set my mind to a better place. Ever have a point in your life where you seriously wonder if you are capable of having ANYTHING turn out positive? Well yeah. Anyway...i hadnt even realised i had won when dude sent me the message drawing my post number. I seriously sat there all "oh thats great for who won that...that was a sweet dazzler". Took me a minute to figure it out. The bad part about this is that about a week before i won the pedal my friend decided to go driving shitfaced in the rain and ran his car into somebodies living room. This is relevant to this review as my amp was in the car...which is now impounded...in another state. As of tonight i have been able to run the pedal through a Kustom 1x12 piece of shit and some abhorable modeling amp stack my friends girlfriend uses for her SYMPHONIC BLACK METAL band. No clean tone at all. None. So what i can say about the pedal is limited as fuck for the time being. It should be noted that this thing is gorgeous. The finish and colors on this thing are fucking awesome. More than id ever be able to do. Aesthetically it puts my poor shivas sticker to shame (not that theres really anything wrong with that as id buy a shiva regardless of finish. aen could probably start painting these things with mule shit and it wouldnt matter as they are some of the best pedals made). It should also be noted for posterity that instead of the standard frazz dazzler this one says "I <3 FUZZ DAZZLER" which makes it a ONE OF A KIND COLLECTIBLE ASS TYPE THANG. HA! Its also sturdly built. While its not heavy i am more than confident that its formidable enough to fend off several drunken hobos with or perhaps be used to bludgeon a yak or two for food were i caught alone in the wilds with only a fuzz pedal and my wits about me. ON TO SOUND. Ill tell you a secret.....THIS THING LIKES METAL Seriously with the gate on and gain turned up to around 80 you can get some fantastic RA TA TA TA TA TA TA TA TA WAAAAAH DUN DUN DUN DUN BWEEDLOO DUN DUN DAAAAH type entombed shit. So its def tight enough to do some more technical stuff...although my playing isnt. Unfortunately thats about the extent of the sounds i could get out of the two shitpiles i was able to play it through. Its not the pedals fault. Its mine. Well not really mine but more so the fault of the people who actually owned the amps. I really dont know why the fuck you want ten goddamn channels on an amp. All i hear is bitching and moaning about OH IT BREAKS UP AT BEDROOM LEVELS. Get the fuck out of here with that shit. What the fuck is a bedroom level? Are you really trying to tell me you cant just by a tiny combo with a decent clean channel and get a fuzz? Fuck bedroom players anyway. Sorry guys. Better review coming late this week or maybe early next week.

Personally I find the frazz dazzler more useful all around with the gain low but to each their own.

Right on, Jamie, we're glad you got it and it cheered you up a bit!

My favourite way to use a Frazz is into a nice and clean amp. Then I like to dime or nearly dime the gain on the Frazz and palm mute and do power chords and just general riffing badassery. Low gain is cool too, I hear you B-man, but I really like how the Frazz roars when it's opened up.

Hope you get to enjoy it more soon and thanks very much for the review(s)!

Dime the gain, roll the sizzle rolled off to taste, jug jigga jug jigga jug jigga JAH JAH!!!

Good to hear you dig it...I'm jealous of that finish.
I love it for adding a bit of fuzzy flavor to more agressive/metal-y type riffs.

Well, I have it low gain (9-12 o' clock ish) but volume is always cranked, and push the gate open by using a singing tree before it! :joy:

I cant wait until my Son of a Bee gets here than we'll have fuzz chaos!

Loud clean amp just this side of break up then cranked fuzz.
It lets both the fuzz and amp open up and work together.

Bead room levels? Your lover should be making noises louder than those amps.

OK OK so I got to jam with the dazzlar again. I had the privilege of playing through a decent peavey 5150 combo thingy that can kinda do clean although it had that "somebody dropped the fuck out of me at one point" buzz to it which actually sounded neat at one point. So man you can really stomp out some serious POWERVIOLENCE with this. Quick sloppy chords and stop start are the dazzlarz shit. It fucks with powerviolence. It made my shitty playing sound so good that i wouldnt be shocked if you saw my band THURMAN MERMAN playing absolutely nofuckingwhere near you as its really unlikely well stop getting drunk sitting around listening to glassjaw any time soon.

SPACERITUAL, I like your style, man... powerviolence and black wizards and a hatred of bedroom levels... I feel like we could really have some fun.

PS - Thurman Merman.... that's a band I look forward to hearing!
