Incorrect. This bass died in the first wave during the Great Reckoning.

My vote is:

Precision

It's more versatile? :idk:

Yeah a p bass is just ALWAYS going to work tonally in whatever music I'm going to play. Rics not so much.

i thought the question was "which is more likely to survive", which the answer is still precision. the telecaster of basses.

clearly a trick question. this is the only bass that remains in 3020:

If those are the choices, I'm out man. Shoot them both and throw them overboard. I can't dig on a Precision because the neck is fucking log and same with the Ric except the rest of it sucks too. :) 4001 maybe and a Jazz. Or a P with a Jazz neck. I could do a PJ, that's it. lol

haha I do prefer the slimmer J neck most of the time for sure. But

THAT WASN'T THE QUESTION

;)

Neither of the two presented options because I don't think a purely wood-based instrument will survive the next 1000 years. I wish a Travis Bean would (maybe the prototype with the solid neck), but an all-aluminium Obstructures or maybe an EGC bass seems more likely. Or maybe an EGC bass with the aluminium through neck but the body made of that new delrin option they offer so it doesn't have to be hollow nor brittle like acrylic.
