lolcano @ Mike Fuller

I've read/received some really disparaging comments on Fuller over the years, but I have a hard time taking a lot of Web criticism seriously. Much of it wreaks of corporate sabotage, petty jealousy, and general incompetence. Of course, when these comments multiply and pile up over sequential decades, they become much more believable, when you finally get a treat from the horse's mouth.
That's really one of the most pretentious and douchey comments I've ever seen, attributed to anyone in the music tech world. We're living in an age of remarkable growth and technology and Mr. All-American Mike thinks no one else's stuff is worthy of the master's time.
Also, that face
---he looks like he could be the brother of Joe Walsh (not the Welsh one) or Michael Bay.

I also remember when he was talking up his tape delay. He said he had spent something like $100,000 on developing it and we really had to appreciate all the sweat equity he had put into it (and no asking price could be too high, due to his great sacrifice). In case you need a translation, Mike Fuller was paying himself $90 an/hr in monopoly money and he estimated that he had spent, 1,100+ hours on this passion project. If you need to see the yearly breakdown on that, that would be 21.36 hours per week (every week, for 52 consecutive weeks). I personally have a really hard time seeing any builder being able to allot 21 bonus hours to their week, on top of their already busy schedule. Who knows how many bench hours or calendar months actually went into it. Regardless, I have never bought any Fulltone products and I don't plan to.
If you do want to read up on unverified customer reports, there's plenty of moderate-to-severe displeasure, going back 12-15 years.

I love what Peter Janis is doing in this area, and I really respect the way he runs his business. He must never sleep!
