I have an earlier one and it is AWESOME
So tempted to grab one of these while they're 20% off
and free return shipping..."wider gain range" sounds pretty good but the ability to daisy chain the new one is
huge.

Shank arrived yesterday. Took it to the studio but only had a few minutes to mess with it. Maaaaaan, that midrange growl is the kitty's knickers. Info sheet said not to place it in front of any buffered pedals but I thought it sounded fine with the tuner at the end of the chain. I'll have to bypass the tu-2 to see if i'm missing something. A little concerned about temperature. Is 45F too cold for it? We turn down the heat when we're not there.

Curious. I wouldn't put buffered pedals
in front of the Shank but not sure about problems with after.
I think the temperature-sensitive Ge trannys are fine once they stabilize a bit...I doubt you'd do any damage.

Got my Sound Shank today! Utterly disappointed. On of the screws is in waaay too tight so i cant open it up to look at its guts, and get that tasty EQD innard smell
In other respects.... DAYUM thats fuzzy
Glad i bought this on a whim while half asleep and having no idea what i was doing

dammit! I wanted a single digit serial number D:
I need an eqd pedal with a single digit serial one day... Preferably a dream crusher or Tone Reaper.
But anyways, yessss its nice colours and i cant play it right now and my life sucks because of that

Man do I love this thing. I think my sweet spot is with the sustain around 3 o'clock and the timbre back around 1 (it's running into always-on low-gain Fuck). That said, there are rad textures to be found all over the place. Heavy gazey parts sound great & I love the way it intermodulates on more complex chords/intervals. A keeper for sure.
I got #19. Clearly Prymaxe doesn't know who they' re dealing with!

I used it on
this track.
It was what I was going for, but as always YMMV.

Kinda want the new one for wider gain range but i won't give prymaxe money. i have 1009's old one and it slays. currently using a deluxe SSStampede with the band because it has more features and just takes up 1.5x of the Shank's footprint. the shed we practice in is small.
